Sofie & Matthias Beach — Restaurant in Blankenberge

Very disappointing experience. The atmosphere at the beach bar was completely ruined by the owner’s loud and aggressive behavior, especially around young children. Our kids, all under 5, were clearly frightened. Instead of handling the situation calmly, the owner escalated things by shouting and even threatening to call the POLICE over leaving the restaurant. Not a family-friendly place at all. Would not recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing or respectful environment. BBIG ZERO!!!!! Not a kid...

Unfortunately, our visit to Sofie & Matthias Beach was very disappointing. The owner lady was extremely rude, not just to the adults but shockingly to the children as well, which made the experience uncomfortable and distressing.

To make matters worse, the food served was dirty and unhygienic. Based on our experience, I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone, especially families with children. A very bad...

There are a lot of beach bars to choose from so the competition is hard. Tried a few bars already but this one not really recommended. The self service is a bit ridiculous, and on none of the tables there is a menu even. We were with a big group and how do we even know what to order if we don't have a menu? Should we all go to the self service counter to order? Far from convenient and not nice...
