Dining Experience to Remember (and Not Repeat) We showed up fashionably late—by a whole 10 minutes—for our 20:45 dinner reservation. A crime, clearly. Upon arrival, we were promptly... ignored. For six glorious minutes, we witnessed the reception woman chatting away - but not to us. Eventually, a human acknowledged our existence—but not before we got a stern TED Talk about how the kitchen turns into a pumpkin at 21:00. It was 21:01 h. We were informed with the warmth of a tax audit that dinner was off the table. Literally. Cue what I assume was the owner, who materialized with the reluctant grace of someone granting parole. With an Oscar-worthy eye roll, the woman barked for us to follow her to the table. The entire restaurant watched us like we’d just walked in with flaming swords and a karaoke machine. At this point, we should’ve left. But after a soul-crushing car ride with two small, hungry gremlins (children), we were committed. Enter the waitress, who brought us the special of the night: panic ordering. “Order NOW or NOBODY EATS!” she barked, as if she were diffusing a bomb and we were the wires. The vibe? Think military boot camp meets passive-aggressive dinner theater. Food? Don’t even remember. Trauma blocked it out. Came here with whole family to have some dinner. We looked other restaurants but almost all of them were closed at 9pm except this one which closing at 10pm. It has not bad reviews and great location with amazing views on ocean. Unfortunately only location and interior was good. I ordered steak (well done) but he had not equal thickness in the middle and on edges. On the middle it was well done because was thin and on edges medium well cooked because was thicker. My wife ordered chicken which also was not good and son ordered pasta bolognese and didn’t want to eat, he said it’s not delicious and he doesn’t like it (which was weird, usually he loves that a lot). Because he didn’t touch his pasta I asked to take “to go” that bolognese. At home I tried it and barely finished half of that pasta, rest we threw out. I don’t know they have that much people but we really didn’t enjoy the food, maybe everyone has different tastes. Wouldn’t visit this...

Ik reserveerde gisteren tegen 20u30 een tafel voor 4 personen en ik vroeg bij de reservatie om binnen te zitten. Bij aankomst werden we echter begeleid naar een plaats in de veranda. Na mijn opmerking daarover bleek dat ze wel op de hoogte waren van mijn vraag maar dat binnen nog geen plaats vrij was. Na een 10-tal minuten wachten mochten we dan toch plaats nemen binnen. Bij reservatie stond in mijn email volgende tekst: "Gelieve er rekening mee te houden dat we om 22u45 een 'last call' houden". Niets bleek echter minder waar: Na ons aperitief kwamen de voorgerechten en nadat die maar net op waren kwamen direct de hoofdgerechten. Om 9u30 vroeg men ons of we nog een dessert wilden. We zegden dat we enkel nog koffies wilden maar vroegen aan de garçon om nog even te willen wachten want we moesten onze fles wijn ook nog leeg krijgen. Een kwartier later kregen we te horen dat we "nu" de koffies moesten vragen of anders waren we te laat. Blijkbaar had de garçon intussen al andere instructies doorgekregen. Vlak na de koffies om 9u45 u kregen we ook ongevraagd al de rekening. Toen ik een opmerking hierover maakten dat wij bij vorige bezoeken nooit hadden meegemaakt dat men ons zo naar buiten hadden begeleid, bleek het deze avond niet rendabel te zijn om met 5 garçons nog na 22u open te blijven. Enkel in de zomer en bij voldoende drukte 's avonds wordt er langer opengehouden. Deze zaak blijft dus niet altijd tot 23u open.
