Plaza d'Amanté — Restaurant in De Haan

for everyone who is coming to this place, the food is not fresh. after asking the staff about it, we have been told that if we want fresh food we have to go somewhere else.

The staff confirmed this by themselves. They were laughing at us ....that if we want fresh / homemade guacamole ( for 11€) we should go to a Michelin star restaurant.

but we did not follow their advice of course and kept looking for fresh food in the neighborhood :)

and we found ! just around the corner the super cute "Jeannine" coffee shop & restaurant. They provide only the freshest ingredients and the guacamole was homemade & absolutely delicious, highly recommended !

Kitchen closes at 8pm. We booked a table for 7pm and were not told about the kitchen closing time. Even when our food arrived at 19:45, we were not told about the kitchen closing. Tried to order desert after our meal and were told the kitchen was closed. We weren't even asked if we wanted coffee which may not have been available after 8pm. Staff seemed matter of fact about it and didn't offer any apology. Food was ok, pulled pork burger wasn't served with anything like a small side salad. Fried calamari wasn't great, too much batter. It's a pretty place with nice decor but let down by the service and mediocre food quality. Expensive...

A gorgeous little café / food bar / boutique on De Haan promenade. Decked out in beach decor it has an immediately inviting atmosphere which is emphasised even more by its lovely owners. Coffee with white chocolate and ginger was delicious and I will surely be back to try some food or other things on the menu. Plus they have a lovely little shop with clothes, accessories and home decorations all in the beach...
