Pizzeria Onda Calabra🍕 — Restaurant in Dinant

AMAZING TRADITIONAL PIZZA. Traditional ingredients and surprisingly small price for the quantity and quality.

I had a local beer, sparkling water and as a Pizza, "La Gourmande" (cooked slightly longer, almost crunchy, because I like it like that...) which was basically the fullest pizza I had in my life. I managed only half and I had to take half home. So tasty. And balanced. I digested it regularly and it wasn't too salty (that style can be tricky and sometimes I wake up needing water in the night, which didn't happened this time...)

I will be back with my pizza loving friends if I decide to go back to...

Good pizza is irresistible and therefore we got to this place. Looking at the pictures on Maps, you see a decent pizza and that's what it is. Freshly made, available with loads of nice toppings and for a good price. The setting in the restaurant is not candle light, but functional. Bit a shame, but that's what it is. I got the Montagne pizza with goat cheese and honey. Delicious. As a dessert I choose the tiramisu. Hundred percent obvious the desserts are not home made, so this is not the right place to indulge Italian sweets and desserts. The pizza is worth five...

Tijdens onze vakantie in Dinant besloten mijn partner en ik op een doordeweekse avond rond 18:00 uur deze pizzeria te bezoeken, die we via Google Maps hadden gevonden vanwege de hoge beoordelingen. Onze verwachtingen waren daardoor hoog, maar helaas is onze ervaring tegengevallen.

Bij binnenkomst hebben we direct onze bestelling doorgegeven. Daarna hebben we ruim twee uur (!) moeten wachten op onze pizza’s, zonder enige uitleg of update van het personeel. Ook kregen we in deze wachttijd onze drankjes niet. Toen we uiteindelijk na twee uur bij de kassa navraag deden, werd ons verteld dat het nog vijf minuten zou duren. Uiteindelijk kregen we een kwartier later, dus ruim na twee uur wachten, onze pizza’s en drankjes.

Tot onze teleurstelling was één van de pizza’s niet goed doorbakken en erg slap. We hebben dit aangegeven bij de pizzachef, die aangaf dat hij alleen in de keuken stond en daarom niet sneller kon werken. Uiteindelijk hoefden we, na onze klacht, niet te betalen voor de pizza’s en erkende de chef zijn fout.

Hoewel het gebaar om niet te laten betalen gewaardeerd werd, vinden wij het onacceptabel dat je als gast zo lang moet wachten en vervolgens een slecht bereid gerecht krijgt. Zeker gezien de hoge waardering op Google hadden wij een veel betere ervaring verwacht.

Wij hopen dat deze feedback bijdraagt aan verbetering.

Tip: Geef als pizzaria voorrang aan je klanten in je winkel én niet aan de online orders, dat zou een...
