The Bar Ixelles — Restaurant in Ixelles - Elsene

This was my one of the favorites bars in my neighborhood. One week ago we went there for a drink and unexpectedly we got 4 drinks (happy hour)! Yesterday I came with a friend, I asked about happy hour (was 19:30) and talked with a nice barman - i wanted to take 2 cocktails gin with tonic classic and 2 cocktails gin with orange. I talked with a lady, explained what we need (2 now and 2 later), she agreed. Actually I confirmed it even later to be sure we are on the same page. I paid 24 (for 4 in my opinion) and when i came back for the 2nd round, she said that she is really sorry but those cocktails were premium and they are not included in happy hour. First - i had it a week ago, second - on the board with happy hour i see ‘cocktails’ and three - the most important - it was confirmed. She said that she is really sorry and just the classic gin and tonic were on happy hours and actually she had no solution for my issue. I said that i am not happy, that she confirmed my order and she said ‘yes, be back after’. Why she didn’t inform me about ‘premium cocktails’ and that the classic gin and tonic bought separately would fit into the promo? Actually my yesterday’s cocktails had no spices (so was just extra lemon to a classic gin and tonic). I dont like to give 1 or 2 stars but I dont like to pay for...

Good place, good music, the bar tenders are nice!!! When is busy is not so ideal, because the place is narrow, and the bar tenders have to wash the glasses, and picked them up from the tables, so sometimes they cannot take your order for a while, if is crowded, but out of that is perfect! Close to many things so ideal to move...

Déçu , l'attitude des vigiles à l'entrée tu ressens du racisme alors que eux mêmes sont d'origines étrangères ,c'est fou ! Si tu as une tête typé ça te traite comme si tu étais un sans papier ,il veulent pas te laisser retourner dans le bar sans raison,alors que tes potes y sont ainsi que ta veste! Je sors fumer puis je veux retourner à l'intérieur et entre eux ils se disent "nan on se souvient pas de lui" En plus de filtrer les gens sans raison, ils n'ont pas de mémoire." Le pire il ne me croit pas et l'un d'eux me suis dans le bar et reste à côté de notre table ! J'ai 6 témoins.Tu donnes un peu de pouvoir à un ignorant et il se prend pour dieu" On est en 2023 et nous avons des postes à responsabilités nous aussi les étrangers d'origine, vous savez pas qui vous avez devant vous,vous serez étonné. Je crie jamais au racisme mais la je l'ai clairement ressenti pour la 1ère fois à Bxl.Ce genre d'attitude casse ta soirée. C'est dommage car le bar est cool. Bref pour ça je n'y...
