El Sombrero 🇲🇽 — Restaurant in Leuven

It is the best Mexican restaurant in Europe. I 1 haven't had the opportunity to visit Mexico, but l've frequented many Mexican restaurants in Europe. This restaurant, in particular, is my number one choice. The food is amazing, the ambiance is fantastic, and the staff are friendly and helpful. They provide fast service. I even travel from Germany to Leuven occasionally just to have dinner there. One thing worth mentioning is that I love cocktails. However, there is one issue - the "piña colada" is premade, and the taste isn't as pleasant because the creamy flavor is lost. I understand that margaritas are also premade, but for some reason, they work well with margaritas. I hope I get to visit again soon and enjoy another...

If you like Mexican food, this is the place to be. 👌 There's a wide variety of choices and so far I haven't got anything that wasn't delicious. For sure you won't go out hungry as the dishes are really big, your money will be well spend here. 🌮🌯

If you like a great margherita or cocktail, make to sure to order one. The cocktails here are a perfect balance of sweetness and alcohol, and they're a perfect match with the spicy food. 🍸🍹

Very extensive menu, to the point where it becomes difficult to decide what to eat for those of us who like a lot of different things. Food is good, and served with a smile. Be sure to make a reservation in advance, especially for dinner. The spiciness of the dishes is marked in the menu, but the scale should be shifted up a bit. We had a dish that was marked "not spicy", but it turned out to be lightly spicy in reality. No problem for most of us, but an unpleasant surprise if you really dislike spicy food.
