I have heard good things about Indian Aroma from friends who understand and appreciate proper Indian food. Today, my wife treated me to lunch at this place and although I came with high expectations, I wasn’t disappointed. The Chicken 65 we ordered as appetizer was slightly salty but still satisfying with the flavors of the fried curry leaves, onions and green chillis. The Hyderabadi chicken biryani was one of the best I’ve had in a restaurant outside India / Asia. The rice was aromatic, had just the right amount of spice and flavor and the chicken cooked inside the rice was juicy, tender, and fell off the bone. The plain dosas were crispy, authentic and were accompanied with decent tomato and coconut chutneys. It’s hard to imagine finding anything better in any Indian restaurant around these parts. A bit disappointed to not see Madras filter coffee in the menu, we therefore opted for a mango lassi and masala chai. The mango lassi was extremely good and refreshing, although I would’ve preferred a more stronger masala chai. I also liked the Dahi Puri which we had as a kind of dessert / snack. Read moreA very cozy little restaurant, charming welcoming hosts, and fantastic food. We are vegetarians, just moved to Leuven, and didn't find ourselves here yet, so finding this wonderful place was a very pleasant discovery for us.
We took samosas, Veg Kofta, and Paneer Tikka Masala with rice. Everything was very tasty but Veg Kofta was a genuine masterpiece. I like Indian food and enjoyed it in different places but this one was something special even for me. Rice was a special Indian kind, very sweet and melting.
The hosts speak excellent English and payed a special care to follow our vegetarian lifestyle - a rare detail that especially touched our hearts.
Lots of good luck for the hosts, hope...
Read moreI’ve always enjoyed ordering from Indian Aroma via Uber Eats – their Chicken Biryani and Butter Chicken are my absolute favorites! The flavors are authentic and consistently delicious, which is why this is one of my go-to places for Indian food.
However, I was a bit disappointed with the pani puri I ordered today. The potato filling seemed to have mustard in it, almost like a vegetable curry was used instead of the usual spiced potato mix. I’ve had pani puri here before and it was really good, so I hope this was just a one-off and not repeated in the future.
Overall, still a great restaurant with amazing food – just wanted to share this feedback so the consistency stays as high as...
