Pizzeria La Piazza — Restaurant in Liège

Very strange experience. We wanted to dine-in, but no space, so no problem then we will go back to the hotel and order pizza from there.

2 hours passed and no pizza, we called and asked them where the pizza was and they replied they had no delivery drivers. They then cancelled the order after we called and asked for the pizza. We called again and told them about the mistake, which they apologized for and told us they would make a new order. We agreed to walk to the pizzeria which is 3-4 mins away to pick up the order which they were going to make right away. All good!

Once we were in the store, the owner asked if we are Japanese (I’m from the Netherlands but ok), I replied that I’m Chinese, and he made all kinds of concerning racist comments like when Chinese take over they would bomb and kill all the white people here and in his restaurant. I am born and raised in the Netherlands, so I have nothing to do with China except my skin color.

Strange behavior, especially after you just let your customers wait for 2 hours. Very racist and not a kind...

a pleasant surprise! a cozy place with very good pizzas, enough to share. We ordered a carpacio as a starter, which was wonderful. Attentive and friendly staff, chef/owner, always concerned to ask if everything was ok and in the end he asked if we wanted some digestive to drink. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to eat good...

This is a small friendly pizzeria and in our opinion serves some of the best pizza we have ever tasted ,it is in the Neopolitan style so super this and cooked to perfection 👌 truly is the best outside of Naples.
