Brasserie restaurant ( Le Restaurant-Brasserie du Quartier Latin ) at the hotel is a bit pricey, Something simple like Carpaccio was made with balsamic vinegar and unfortunately there was no taste to it. In our opinion this should be with Parmesan cheese pine nuts, and arugula lettuce with olive dressing a little lemon and some pepper. Atans as we are used to. The balsamic vinegar was very dominant and we didn't taste anything of the rest of the dish. ( there is nothing about balsamic vinegar on the menu with it! And it costs 24.50 euros !! ) there was also only 1 staff member who wanted to help us in English this after having tried 2 times. very strange. several just wanted to keep speaking French to us. (even the website can also be put in Dutch.) While even at the reception of the hotel they just spoke Dutch to us. Furthermore we were very happy with our waiter in English and we ate reasonably well. with a balsamic vinegar aftertaste unfortunately.

Disappointing! After making a reservation 3 weeks in advance it was not possible to sit outside, even though not all tables were used that evening. In the end we could sit outside because another couple cancelled. It then took them 1h45min to bring the starter. Which was hastily prepared cold and small. A good half an hour later we got the main dish. A burger fully undercooked, it could have been mistaken for steak hache. For us it was a return after a previous good experience but this time it was super disappointing. For the wait of almost 2 hours we got a complementary drink but that did little to the experience. Other people around us were unhappy with the wait as well. Unacceptable considering the price point.

The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The staff were very attentive with a great eye for detail. They were also super kind. I had slow cooked beef with polenta, and my partner had beef steak. Both meals were amazing.

Will never come back here. The service and food were an absolute disappointment. Terrible to say the least.

Food overcooked. A la Carte portion is the SAME as Set Menu portion. Get the set menu because you will get off cheaper.

After getting meat balls instead of the wild boar, for whatever reason, I asked to change my dish to what I actually ordered. Then, Wild boar was overcooked, was extremely extremely dry and barely seasoned. Service an absolute nightmare. Empty plates sitting on the table since 1st course. Same story with the deer regarding seasoning, the cooking was good.

I asked for a plate to cut the fresh bread for amouse and to spread some butter on it, waiter was so confused about the request (because you don’t get a plate to spread your butter / fillet americain, he brought a big main course plate. I told him no this is not it and he came back with another plate (similar to the plate the bread basket was sitting on). The logic being there’s an extra plate for the bread basket but not an extra plate for you to cut and spread. To add to this, after the waiter brought me the plate, he took with his hand half of the bread I just cut and put it on the table and back just to show me that you can also put the bread on the table to eat it and you don’t need a side plate....
