Trattoria Borsalino 🇮🇹 — Restaurant in Middelkerke

Horrible experience: we were 5 people, but only 3 of us ordered food. The waiter started yelling incredibly loudly that everyone had to order food and he wouldn’t stop rambling, but he didn’t mention anything when we arrived, before he showed us to the table.

Absolutely awful and disrespectful. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Update - reply to the owner: Who is it to say what we have to order? You. Did you tell us in advance everyone had to order food? No. People order whatever they want then! If your sole purpose is to sell food to everyone, put a sign at the entrance and also give people a notice before you show them to the table. Also, you can mention this politely. You don’t live in the jungle.

You are just a rude, short minded person with major anger issues and no respect for people. You wouldn’t stop yelling at your own colleagues, let alone your customers. You should never work in customer service or hospitality.

First of all: this is not an italian restaurant. This is more like an italian canteen, I am pretty sure that my microwave meal that I get from SPAR is way better than the pre cooked trash that they call pasta served in this place. I am italian and the thing that really upset me is that the owner is italian too... I wonder if his grandma used to serve him pasta like that when he was back in Italy... I DO NOT THINK SO. So why do you serve this disgrace to your customer??? REALLY DISAPPOINTING.

Lets get to the PIZZA NOW and I am telling you this is not my last point. THE WORST PIZZA I HAVE EVER HAD. Probrably frozen bases of a very low quality and ingredients that you can easily find in any low end discount.

The last POINT, and I stop here because I pity the poor people that need to work for these individuals to get a living. THE OWNERS ARE INCREDIBLY RUDE. NEVER SEEN STAFF GETTING TREATED LIKE THAT. YOU SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS.

Mixed experience, compared to my visits to other Italian restaurants. Starting with food, it was good. The pizza was delicious, very similar to my experience elsewhere.

But when it comes to service... it was mixed. I really like the energy of one of the waiters. He was loud and engaging (at first, i found it over the top, but then I actually began enjoying it). However, the other waiter, he didn't seem very engaging. I was very surprised that they didn't give me a small bottle as fizzy drink. Instead, it was a glass full only, without ice. Every restaurant I've visited gives me a small bottle and ice cubes.
