Phat-Thaï — Restaurant in Namur

We had dinner at this restaurant the other night. While the food was good, we unfortunately had an unpleasant old guy sitting at a table next to us, he seemed to be drunk or mentally ill. He tried to chat with us (two young femals) which was not possible due to language diffuculties. In the beginning, this was alright, but he became increasingly intrusive and was interrupting our own conversation constantly. We tried to show him that we don't like to chat with him any longer, but he didn't care and he even was complaining at the waiter about us ignoring him. We finished our dinner in a hurry, so that we could leave from this uncomfortable Situation. When we left the restaurant he was following and shouting at us.

While this is of course not directly the restaurants fault, we were disappointed that the service personnel didn't help us by giving us another table or telling the old man to stop. We think it should be in their interest to give their customers a safe feeling and it was quite obvious for the waiters that this old guy was overstepping quite...

The staff is very in-welcoming. I went with my friends and didn’t had the pleasant experience. They didn’t English which is okay but we felt we were treated differently than people who were speaking French. We had to call them to ask when this dish will come after waiting for a simple bowl of rice for 10 minutes. This happened for each and every food item ordered. Their response was that it is coming. Also, at the end while paying the check they told that the rice which was given was for 2 portions which they didn’t mention beforehand. It’s a smart way to loot people and if you charge then tell before and charge, it’s not a universal rule which everyone will know. Not at all nice place to visit. Good was also not authentic and taste...

Une deuxième visite pour nous. Côté service : nonchalance, approximation, désinvolture, très amateur tout ça, rien de bien nouveau par rapport à notre première visite, on s’excuse presque d’être là…mais bon ça passe encore, on vient d’abord pour manger et bien si possible, ce qui ne fut pas le cas cette fois-ci ! Sachant que les plats sont copieux, on s’est limité à un plat chacun, mijoté d’agneau et canard sauté à « l’arc en ciel flambé ». D’abord le vin rouge au verre, une infection, j’y ai ajouté du sucre pour essayer de le boire quand même ! Le mijoté d’agneau, plus un mijoté de pommes de terre que d’agneau, faut vraiment chercher l’agneau pour le trouver. Plat trop salé, pas mauvais mais très classique et passe partout, noyé de sauce, légumes quasi inexistants, quelques malheureuses tranches de carottes. On n’est pas censé être dans un resto thaï là !? Le canard « arc en ciel » arrive tout fumant à table, promesse de plaisir gustatif…première bouchée… la tasse et pas d’eau douce, celle d’eau de mer, immangeable tellement c’est salé ! Je n’ai rien contre le sel utilisé avec modération mais là, on ne distingue quasi plus le reste, un bloc de sel en bouche. Je fais la remarque une première fois à la serveuse puis une deuxième fois à l’autre serveur (fils du patron peut-être) et tout ce que l’on me répond « très étonnant car ce plat est toujours préparé de la même façon », et que c’est donc sans doute moi qui ai un problème!! Okkkkkkkééé… me suis quasi forcé à le manger ce plat, j’avais faim et je ne supporte pas de gaspiller la nourriture. Aucun geste commercial, aucune excuse, aucune prise en considération de ma remarque, aucune proposition de remplacer le plat, il ne nous en faut pas plus, nous sommes partis et plus jamais nous y remettrons un orteil.
