The Museum of Decorative Arts of Namur is a delightful gem! Housed in the elegant 18th-century Hôtel de Groesbeeck-de Croix, the museum showcases a stunning collection of period furniture, tapestries, and Venetian-style chandeliers that beautifully capture the opulence of the era. The French-style garden is a lovely touch, perfect for a serene stroll. The staff were friendly and offered insightful guided tours, which added depth to the experience. My only slight issue was that some exhibits could use more detailed explanations, and the museum felt a bit crowded during peak hours. Still, with free entry and such a charming setting, it’s a must-visit for anyone interested in history and decorative arts....

The rooms are decorated as if we would still be on the 18nd century. It is still all intact from the beautifull wooden flooring, the tapestries, the wall paintings and chandeliers in venetian style. The enclosed garden in French style gives you en excellent view of the museum building. And you finish your visit with an authentic kitchen again as if the cook only just left. The entrance is free just be aware it is closed between 12 and 13h. A must if you like authentic decorated...
