Ylonsun Sushi & Grill — Restaurant in Nieuwpoort

Delicious food, wonderful service and all that by chance being in the area and discovering this place. So far the best sushi we've eaten and for a reasonable price. With two or more we definitely recommend the boat if gives you plenty of things two try from and dietary preferences are taken into account. For example, we don't eat meat, but we were still amply surprised by all the different flavor combos. For this, time was also taken to explain at the table what everything was by a kind young man who made sure everything was taken care of while we were enjoying the food and drinks. After diner, what I assume was his mother, came to us and asked our personal opinion on the food they prepared for us. We had a nice chat and it really made us feel at home with such a hospitality. The space is also arranged in such a way that both small duos and large groups have the opportunity to live their own experience in peace or conviviality. Really hard to find good Takoyaki, but this one was fantastic, would just come back because of those👌🏼 Great quality, generally speaking.

Quite pricey (20€ for a Tempura and Avocado roll with tons of sauces, aka "Dragon Roll"), but most restaurants at the Belgian coast are. It doesn't bother me too much if the quality is high, and it is high at Ylonsun 👍🏼

The negative points at our visit: the rice in the Dragon Roll was weirdly very cold, unlike the other rolls the avocado in the Dragon...

I would highly recommended this restaurant when you are travelling to Nieuwpoort looking for food for your Dinner.

They have served freshly sushi, especially on the raw and fresh salmon & Tuna. Their portion is kinda big. The most impressed me is their mango sushi, it is so delicious and refreshing after you have took it.

Besides that the owner is very friendly and cheerful. I have a wonderful night with all the delicious sushi in Ylonsun...
