Le Figaro — Restaurant in Rochefort

Absolutely amazing experience at Le Figaro. For entree we ate the amazing Ravioli with shrimp and Croquettes with Orval cheese that seemed like they were sent from heaven. Followed up by wonderful Plates, especially the Confit de Canard which melted on your tongue like a cloud. The night was finished off with the best Tarte de Pomme I have ever eaten. It was absolutely wonderful!!!! We are used ro eating out. And two off us are working in kitchens in Amsterdam. We wilden even tussenstop houden tijdens onze reistocht. Op het eerst zicht zag het etablissement er gezellig uit, alleen voelde we ons niet welkom. We vroegen of we iets mochten eten en dan kregen we als antwoord van de ober dat we (een kwartier) te vroeg waren. Het was precies teveel dat we deze "eenvoudige " vraag stelde. De ober wou zelfs ons drankbestelling niet opnemen, we moesten heel lang wachten eer iemand ons bestelling opnam. Uiteindelijk hebben we geen eten meer willen bestellen. Een gemiste kans voor hun. Dan zijn we maar naar de broodjeszaak gegaan die ons wel hartelijk...
