Côté Gourmand — Restaurant in Schaerbeek - Schaarbeek

Table wasnt clean when we sat down. Won't give a glass of water with espresso. Ordered cappuccino, got black coffee. (Waiter too cool to listen to orders.) Breakfast arrived without cutlery. Waiters were playing their own music too loudly inside.

1 hour later: I have to add more negative comments because there was a hair in my coffee that is still stuck in my throat, and I ordered, paid for, but did not get one fresh juice.

Service this bad is also down to poor management. Clearly no good training is given, the boss just employs cheap people who are not professional waiting staff and doesn't supervise them.

But this place already has a terrible reputation among locals for exactly this. (I visited with someone who lives close by, and unfortunately didn't listen when she told me how bad...

(Please read till the end) Wasted potential. Overpriced products. I had to ask to change my dirty fork, the waiter didn't apologize and even found a stupid excuse. The tables are not cleaned, so I was a bit wondering were to put my hands on it. The personal is clearly not professional and can be unfriendly and rude. A bit too long waiting. The worst part is coming : we got an expensive cake with bugs in it !! When we called the waiter, instead of apologizing and giving us something else, he were saying that's "not possible" the bugs are coming from them... Accusing us! The decor is great, but that's the only positive thing. Will never come back there, except if another owner decides to fully enjoy the great potential of this...

In short: O.M.G.!!! Stupendous breakfast!

Location. Imagine having breakfast with the sound of birds singing; imagine having breakfast in a small courtyard with wooden table and immersed in Josaphat park. Well: this is Coté Gourmand! The location is full of colors, smells, flavors. A breakfast that becomes magical. Indoor and outdoor room. Standing ovation!

FOOD. Bakery products, freshly baked typical breakfast products, pastry desserts. Cappuccino, coffee, orange juice. Freshly baked pain au chocolats are delicious ! The ora te juice is fresh and perfect!

PRICE. Excellent!

Ps. Pet friendly!!! SERVICE. The staff makes you feel at home. A " delicate " welcome, calm, kind and courteous.
