Pasta Commedia — Restaurant in Uccle - Ukkel

We strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant at all cost. It is very possible that the food is great, but what is most important is the service. The service at Pasta Commedia is the worst that we have ever experienced in my life. We are visiting family in Belgium (my aunt 93 years old) from USA, and unfortunately we do not understand French and my aunt is losing her site and hearing, so she couldn't help with the Menu, one of the servers know English and started to help us, but our table was not hers to service, so our server whom didn't speak English, told the lady whom was helping us to back to her tables and was not willing to help us in any way. So we ended up leaving. We have never ever experienced such rudeness.

I know that most of you that will read this do speak French, but do us justice by not going to this restaurant, hopefully that will teach them to treat people with respect.

To start off, the food was very good, no complaints. But the service!!! Ohhh my… I had to go back to the reviews so see why this restaurant has only 4.1 stars. This restaurant has a serious problem with service. The manager/ owner is very cold, takes orders very quickly, disappears immediately and it is impossible to ask for anything without waiting forever until someone notices. The food takes about an hour to come out, which is insane for pizzas and salads, the place wasn’t even that packed. There is a second waiter who is there only to bring out drinks and to just stand there without taking orders. Overall not a great experience a d probably won’t come...

Depuis quelques années je vais à l'occasion (4-5 fois par an) dans ce restaurant près de chez moi pour sa terrasse, sa proximité et sa cuisine acceptable. Hier 14 août 2024 c'est la dernière fois que j'y vais. La cuisine est devenue tout juste passable, mais le plus important le patron-gérant est tout simplement insupportable d'hypocrisie commerciale. Si vous êtes, au choix, de la famille, un bon pote, un voisin ou un commerçant du quartier il vous trouvera une bonne table et il sera capable d'avoir avec vous une conversation de plusieurs minutes en plein coup de feu sans qu'il s'occupe de quiconque d'autre. Évidemment après cette parenthèse enchantée le service est désorganisé et il doit engueuler régulièrement ses serveurs pour remettre le train sur ses rails. A contrario si vous n'êtes ni pote, ni cousin, ni voisin, ni collègue vous serez traité comme il se doit : table en salle alors que vous aviez réservé en terrasse, ton inquisiteur pour savoir à quel nom la réservation a été faite lorsque vous insistez pour votre table en terrasse, commande prise en 15 secondes et livrée en 3600 secondes. Cerise sur le gâteau, qui me fait écrire ce premier et dernier commentaire sur le Pasta Circus : à la fin du repas je me dirige au comptoir pour payer l'addition (c'est comme ça qu'on fait là-bas), le patron encaisse le payement du client qui me précède et au lieu de passer à l'encaissement de mon addition (je suis 1 mètre à côté en plein dans son champ de vision) il va poursuivre leur conversation entre potes PENDANT 5 MINUTES. Après avoir poireauté comme un débile (c'est comme ça que vous êtes perçu si vous ne faites pas partie de la caste) j'ai dû interrompre leur blabla pour exercer mon obligation légale de payer mon addition...
