We're a group of foodies and love beer. We had high expectations for this brasserie. The decor was great, the location is nice, but the food and to some extent the service was overwhelming a disappointment. We went out with another couple and ordered starters, plates, a beer flight, and desserts. For 7EUR a piece, the fondue is not worth it for taste or quantity. You're basically getting an overstuffed mozzarella stick with gooey cheese. The goat cheese salads had a great appearance but an average taste. The beef filet and cod were okay, but not memorable. We ordered two creme brulee dishes and one chocolate mousse with whiskey. The creme brulee was not properly prepared. The top was not solid (it didn't crack) and the interior was mush, consistent with the texture of baby food. The mousse and whiskey were pretty good but couldn't make up for the rest of the meal. The waitstaff forgot our cafes but remembered once we were asking for the bill. The server also rolled his eyes and left the table as we worked to split the bill. The total bill was about 180 EUR but the cost of the experience didn't line up with the quality and service we received.
Save yourself the disappointment and EUR. There are much better brasseries in Belgium where you can get a full meal and drinks for a reasonable price, with better quality,...
Read moreReally a bad experience. I was excited to try this historic brewery but was met with such bad service. At first we wanted to have dinner here, but the menu was so unimpressive and expensive compared to yesterday's French food, so we just wanted to try the beer, and we were told to stay outside for the drinks only, which was fine, but after waiting outside for a long time for the drinks we ordered, they were not available, and our companion asked for them and was instead lectured by the owner or the waitress, who annoyingly criticized the other person in order to cover up her own mistake. To cover up their own mistakes and criticize each other in anger, what an arrogant and...
