Set in a charming, historic home, the restaurant offers a warm, intimate atmosphere, reflecting the story of Safija, a woman from a prominent Sarajevo family, whose elegance and hospitality inspire the venue's concept.
The restaurant is divided into four distinct rooms, each offering its own ambiance. The interior design is luxurious yet cozy, with each room capturing a different aspect of Safija's life, creating a rich and immersive dining experience. This allows guests to dine in a setting that feels both historical and modern, with décor that reflects Sarajevo's cultural heritage.

Read moreStrongly advise against this place. The service was poor with the waiter not knowing the ingredients of dishes and not caring to inform himself to pass that info to us. Desribing a soup as red with veggies and not having an answer if it’s a tomato based soup or spiced.
Now on to food. The gratuitous piece of bread and cheese had a foul smelling olive on it - explained to be a regular olive...(not a chance, it was off).
Starter of Montvideo consisted of frozen beef carpaccio and ice cold cream cheese. The beef could have been good had it had the right temperature.
The captain nemo sesame seared tuna was put onto not hot enough fire, being greyish on the outside and almost thoroughly cooked instead of quickly seared. The sweet potato actually means three (3) sweet potato crisps on a bed of rocket. And the spicy mayonnaise is made with store bought sweet and sour sauce.
So all in all, due to great reviews we were faced with great disappointment and truly unappetising food. On top of it all, the price asked compared to other establishments is much higher, especially given the quality.

Read moreThe atmosphere and the service were absolutely great and it was a nice evening. The main thing why I give 3 stars is that the food was not good enough for this price level. With two bottles of wine, appetizer, main course and dessert we had a bill of 414 BAM (205€) for 4 adults.
We had a tapas plate, marinated tuna, 2x beef fillet, 1x veal and 1x squid and chocolate cakes as dessert. The squid was very chewy (and I know how that squid is special but I also know how it tastes if prepared well, beef was ok, not enough sauce and the side dish wasn't seasoned enough. The chocolate cake was a complete desaster. It was to hard and seemed curdled when I tasted the consistency.
To sum up, we would've expected exquisite food for that price and we got average food that was presented in an exquisite way.
I hope my review helps for the kitchen to improve because I really loved the atmosphere. First of all, they should have tried there dessert. A good chef recognizes immediately if the consistency is off.
I still recommend to go there as it could be that the kitchen just...
