TL;DR - This place is exceptional across the board.

Me and my girl had kind of a rough start to our Ilha grande adventure. This place saved the day.

First of all - they greeted us with a free garlic bread basket and cream cheese. Sounds simple, but was a nice touch.

Second, our waitress (Macarena) was excellent. Super sweet and gave personalized recommendations for which pastas to pair with each sauce.

You know how (usually) when you ask the waiter what they recommend they just point to the most expensive thing on the menu?

This was the opposite. She took the time to hear what we liked and then gave us different options. She just rocks.

Food came out fast. And it was SO good. We got pesto paired with ham and mozzarella & pumpkin paired with the cheese/bacon sauce.

Both were great. As ANOTHER bonus - they give you your own little dish of Parmesan. Do i seem like I’m overreacting? Maybe. But for how bad this day was these small touches made all the difference.

Finally, the desert was fire. The warm brownie and vanilla ice cream combo is as good as it gets.

Vibes is right too 👌

The whole bill was less than what we paid for a crappy seafood dish earlier by the beach.

Do yourself a favor and skip the tourist...

Delicious sorrentinos - gorganzola, Walnut sorrentinos with mushrooms sauce was amazing as was the Pumpkin with slow cooked beef sauce which was divine.

Passion Fruit Mouse was amazing!

The cocktail menu was creative and overall they were good too - the sparkling red berries was the the star of the show - perfect! Regarding the lemon infused vodka with ginger beer topped with passion fruit foam - the foam was amazing though I feel that the barman went a little wild with the vodka ratio to ginger beer (so maybe order this if you wanna get smashed quick! 🤪)

Finally a massive shout out to the staff who were absolutely awesome and totally deserved their tip!

My only wish was that they were open for lunch tomorrow so that I would order the much talked about brownie with...
