To start, I’m a gringo (American) visiting from NYC. I consider myself a foodie and an overall appreciator of food (I’m a big boy). My partner and I were looking at places around Canoa and stumbled upon this place by chance. During the day it’s very unassuming but by evening it feels like it transports you to a magical far off place! The ambience is amazing! Beyond that, we were greeted by a host/member of the staff who explained some of their best meal options. I decided to get their Carne da Terra which was phenomenal! The meat was perfect and the additional sides were more than filling! My partner got the file ao molho Madeira and the bites I stole were also exquisite! Het restaurant is nu in de hoofdstraat gevestigd. Nieuw dus en we proberen het nog maar een keer. Op de vorige locatie was dit toch telkens teleurstellend. Op initiatief van de jongen die ons buiten verzekerde dat de schotels ruim waren gingen we binnen. Mooi restaurant, goed gedecoreerd en gezellig verlicht. Aan de jongen die onze bestelling kwam opnemen vroegen we nogmaals of de schotels ruim waren en weer werd ons verteld dat dit zo was. Ik bestelde een spaghetti carbonara en mijn vrouw ravioli. Na toch wel een half uur wachten werden er 2 borden op tafel gezet, ik denk dat ze dachten dat we een kinderschotel hadden besteld. De porties waren echt schandalig klein en toen we wat kaas bij gevraagd hadden en deze werd gebracht, was mijn spaghetti op. Drie lepels , mijn vrouw die zeker geen grote eter is heeft nog brood bij gevraagd om toch wat te eten te hebben. Dit was in de lijn van wat het was op hun vorige locatie. Het eten was verder ok maar niets speciaal. In ieder geval de laatste keer dat we hier eten, we hebben daarna nog een hamburger gegeten om de honger te stillen. Bedankt jongens!!!!!! A pedido do rapaz do lado de fora, que nos garantiu que os pratos eram generosos, entramos. O restaurante é lindo, bem decorado e agradavelmente iluminado. Perguntamos ao rapaz que nos atendeu novamente se os pratos eram generosos, e ele novamente respondeu que sim. Pedi espaguete à carbonara e ravióli para minha esposa. Depois de meia hora de espera, dois pratos foram trazidos à mesa; acho que pensaram que tínhamos pedido um prato infantil. As porções eram realmente escandalosamente pequenas, e quando pedimos queijo e ele chegou, meu espaguete tinha acabado. Três colheres. Minha esposa, que certamente não é uma grande comilona, pediu pão para comer alguma coisa. Isso estava de acordo com o que era no local anterior. A comida, de resto, estava razoável, mas nada de especial. Pelo menos, esta é a última vez que comemos aqui; comemos um hambúrguer depois para matar a fome....

This must be the best restaurant in town! A bit hidden, away from the main street, the restaurant has a very peaceful and romantic atmosphere. Our server told us that a part of the restaurant’s profits goes to rescuing local animals ❤️

Even though the prices are not much higher than other restaurants in the area, the service and food are on a whole other level. The tortellini and risotto were exceptional and even the brownie did not disappoint. Would definitely...
