Great ambience, great drinks and a strong culinary effort.

We are visiting Caxias do Sul for the first time and wanted a nice restaurant to celebrate a birthday. Sebastiana came in highly recommended as one of the nicest places in town.

The vibe is very boho-chic, with a well dressed crowd in their mid 20s to 40s, which I think is their target audience. They have a huge and great selection of regional wines, and many creative cocktails.

We made reservations ahead of time, and had no issues waiting or anything like that. From all the aspects of the restaurant the food for us was the biggest let down. We all had different dishes but they each were missing the mark on something. I had the iron steak with roasted vegetables, so vegetables were only roasted on one side and the other side was completely raw. It would have been a flavor enhancer if they use one of many, many herbs that can be locally grown to enhance the flavor, rosemary, Greek oregano and so on. So while the roasted vegetables were great the carrot, bell pepper and the eggplant was either raw or gently cooked on one side. I love a great olive oil, but there was a huge amount of olive oil, think of a 1/3 of a cup all around, which made the whole meal really greasy. The bacalhau sebastiana was nice, but the fish was extremely dry, perhaps here is where they could have used more olive oil. The two beautiful steaks were missing the buttery smooth and flaky texture one would expect.

Absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The ambiance of the restaurant is just perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. The menu is diverse, offering a variety of dishes that cater to different tastes and dietary requirements. Each dish we ordered was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, clearly made with high-quality ingredients and a lot of care.
