It's a small restaurant, not far from where we were. It's an Italian place, with most of the tables outside. It's a pretty cute place. They have linen hanging from the ceiling, which is a fun design element.
Food: We love Italian food and eat it pretty often. We ordered a pizza, an appetizer, and a main course. For our appetizer, we had the salmon tartare on polenta crackers. It was a good, balanced dish, but I wish the polenta was much thinner and crispier, like a cracker. Otherwise, all that polenta overpowers the fish flavor. The octopus with potato chips for our main course was delicious. One of the best octopuses we’ve had in Rio, and we’ve tried a lot. It had the perfect balance of spices and salt, a good grilled flavor, and a crispy crust. It was close to perfect. The pizza was unbalanced. We ordered it with homemade sausage, but there wasn’t enough of it on the pizza. It was mostly the flavor of bland mozzarella, which made the pizza feel heavy and greasy. It lacked any really distinct flavor that you could grab onto.
Service: The service was friendly and good. The waiters had really nice uniforms. It took a little long to get our food, but overall everything was fine.

Now, let's talk about the food. The bruschettas were a delightful start to the meal, bursting with flavor and freshness! The pizzas were simply outstanding - thin, crispy crust topped with the finest ingredients, transporting my taste buds straight to Italy. And let's not forget the tiramisu with a twist! It was a masterpiece of flavors, combining the classic dessert with something new and exciting.

Read moreThis is a great restaurant and super convenient if you are staying at the Fairmont hotel. The food has so much flavor and the service is even more friendly. I’ve ate there two nights in a row. The Margherita Pizza is delicious, top it off with a tiramisu. Tiramisu could have had a little more of the coffee/espresso taste but that’s my preference. That doesn’t take away how much flavor you taste in each bite. I’d get it again in a heartbeat. The second time I went I got the Gnocchi with red sauce. That was also great! Having been to northern Italy recently, personal and maybe unpopular opinion the Brazilians did it better. They know how to...
