Independência Restaurante & Choperia — Restaurant in Região Imediata de Santos

Last Wednesday I visited this restaurant for the first time and surprisingly it was quite empty, at first I thought the place would be horrible, but after leaving the restaurant I changed my mind. The atmosphere is really calm, and as I sat down a waiter immediately came to ask me if I needed anything and he was really gentle. This is a lovely restaurant right in the old center of Utrecht. First you have to walk down the stairs to get to the lower level right next to the canal, then the restaurant is inside some tunnels actually underneath the buildings. A side effect of this is that there is no cell phone reception inside. So as long as you don't ask for the WiFi password this is also a great place to disconnect for a while. Regarding the food I recommend the house specialty steak, it's tender...

Domingo. Eu e minha namorada acordamos sem tomar café afim de pularmos direto para o almoço. Antes de pararmos no Independência, fomos ao Barão (onde já havíamos visitado), mas decidimos ir nesse que passamos em frente. Chegando lá, pedimos o cardápio e vimos os preços bem caros, mas esse nem era o impedimento… Perguntamos ao garçom se só vinha aquilo no prato (carne, arroz e fritas) pois em outros restaurantes além disso tinha a possibilidade de feijão, salada, farofa etc. Quando fiz a pergunta o garçom respondeu: “O que vocês querem?” Eu disse que um almoço com feijão. “Um almoço com feijão? Então podem fechar o cardápio” Soou como uma ordem. Com uma deselegância imensa, nos pediu para escolher o que queríamos no próprio aplicativo destinado aos garçons. Ao chegar a comida o feijão estava azedo, comi tudo, sim tudo e espero que não me faça mal, mas comi tudo. Minha namorada não comeu nem 50% que estava no prato dela.
