Shtastliveca — Restaurant in Veliko Tarnovo

I cannot give less than 5 stars to this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious and had a very fresh approach of the traditional cuisine. First things first, the restaurant looks stunning, the terrace has the best view, it's clean, neat, good music, wonderfuly decorated! We did not have a reservation and we kindly asked one of the girls if she could squeeze us in because usually everybody likes to eat outside on the terrace.She checked the bookings and she managed to find a seat for us. The waiters (both of them), two young boys, very kind and polite, quick to respond to our requests and very very communicative.Lovely staff! We ordered tarama salad, chicken liver pate and creamy cow cheese with truffles for starters, and katmer with vanilla plus baked biscuit for desserts. Everything was DELICIOUS! The liver paté was my favorite though, having a very original approach of the classic receipe : the creamy part on top, small chunks of cooked liver in the middle and chopped parsley with green onions on the bottom.It was a delight! I really recommend to try it! All the dishes arrived in fair time and we got to please our soul and our bellies at the same time because this food was heavenly and the view and the vibe likewise. This was the first restaurant i got to visit back in 2015-2016 when i went to Veliko for the first time and i continued to eat here many times til 2019 when i visited Veliko the last time.So now, 6 years later, i was really really curious to see if they kept their quality and i was NOT disappointed! Last but not least, it's best to book ahead if you want a seat on the terrace to enjoy the view and parking is easy, there is a parking lot just across the street. Incredible service, shoutout to Nicholay he is a legend. First of all our food was really good. It’s overwhelming how much choice there is but honestly, you can’t go wrong. I finished my burger and my girlfriend almost finished hers but the pizza my father ordered was still not there, the waiter said 5 minutes because the previous one burned, 10 minutes later tho still nothing. He was irritated because of this but they recovered very well, they apologized heavily and they gave us a complimentary dessert which was very tasty. This is how you run a restaurant, fantastic! Mistakes can happen especially when it’s full and very busy, recovering from these mistakes separates you from other restaurants tho. Amazing! They were also very helpful with leaving ingredients out to fit dietary restrictions, they even added ingredients to make it better. Our personal waiter lived in our home town in The Netherlands (Eindhoven) which was very funny, we had great conversations. He was the best waiter (once again) shoutout to Nicholay. I was critical about the amount of reviews at first, but they totally deserve it. The food came pretty quickly while it was very busy(other then the pizza). Great view aswell! Very honest people. Lastly, when we arrived we asked to be moved to a different table if one became available, every other restaurant would have just ignored this, 20 minutes later tho, they offered us a new table tho wow. 10/10 definitely recommend!

The first time I've been to this restaurant, and believe me it will be my favorite restaurant when I come here from now on. the entrance was very pleasant, from the beginning damian, a worker here, very kind and nice, led us to two tables for 20 people. the group, and especially me, was satisfied with the beauty of the restaurant, they also have tables outside with a view, which I think is superb, but inside we also sat exceptionally. quiet, you could hear yourself perfectly. the prices are extremely ok, and especially if you want an unforgettable experience, please look for Damien, a waiter of a 10. I laughed with him, and I got along with him for the whole group, being one of the people who knows perfect English. a lady's salad came without olives, I called damien, I spoke to him, he took the salad back and immediately fixed the problem, it may have been a slip-up. I ordered a black angus burger, one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. I asked him to make it without eggs, and he did. I loved his hospitality and his responsibility! He is a 10-star man and I highly recommend that when you come to look for him to give you a superb and unforgettable experience. the burger was superb, 10-star, and I will also attach a picture of how it looked, I was amazed. once again, the restaurant is perfect, quiet, elegant, Damien is one of the best hosts, and I recommend once again that you call him when you order! 10-star.
