I need to share my shopping experience that happened today July 3 2023 .It was my first racist encounter in 20 years of traveling all over the world .I am still baffled about it . Went to the meat and deli counter to buy some meat and I went “Hello ,do you speak English ?” The older lady behind the counter turned red and she said ‘bulgarski ‘ and turned her head away ignoring me .I asked again trying to use Google translate and again she said ‘bulgarski’ refusing to serve me .Then a younger lady showed dressed in black jeans and black T-shirt went behind the counter and talked to her in Bulgarian probably about what happened and they started to laugh behind my back . Veliko Tarnovo is a tourist destination with people from all over the world visiting and paying good money for services and goods and to be treated like this it is unacceptable , very unnecessary and I am sure illegal to discriminate other people languages . I left the store after purchasing few items without the meat that I intended to buy that was denied purchase by the rude deli worker . She should be at least demoted if not fired for her rude , racist and demeaning behavior . Well that is about it ,I will avoid this store and I will take further steps to ensure that this situation will be...

One of the worst experiences i have ever had in Bulgaria!!! I really hope someone from management sees this and takes action because this is NOT ok... 2 cashiers one old, one young, both with the worst attitudes i've ever seen in my life, they literally started yelling at us 20 minutes before closing time and 15 minutes before closing time, we literally got kicked out of the store in the most agressive way possible... BRUH wth is wrong with these people, we are foreign tourists who chose to visit this country and PAY for services, how do those 2 women still work there after seeing so many negative reviews regarding what seems like to be the same 2 employees!?!? Never setting foot in this...

We've been going here daily to purchase items during our 1 week stay. 21/04 around 17:00 we had a very unprofessional cashier. The cashier overcharged us an item and did not want to correct the price. Very unfriendly even though it was her mistake. She also refused to give us our receipt for the remaining items purchased.

In our 2 months in Bulgaria, this was the first time a supermarket or refused to give a receipt for the items we purchased. We usually pay in cash so receipts are important to record travel expenses and budgeting. Not to mention having proof of products purchased.
