Rude, inconsiderate and unfriendly. Beautiful grounds, terrible people. We went on a Friday night. Arrived at 9:10 (the website states it closes at 10:30). We encountered no fewer than 6 separate staff members on our way, starting with the guard, various bar service and wait service. We asked each one how to get to the seated table area (the site is enormous) and we got the same response from all 6. They just stayed silent and pointed in a general direction, leaving us to find our own way through the puddles and mud from the recent rain. We finally sat down at a table that we found by ourselves and we were then asked to move to 3 different locations by 3 different staff members. After we sat down at the final table a 7th staff member approached us and asked us to leave because they were "closed" for the evening. Once more, no one showed us the way out and we had to find our own way through the flooded paths and mud because the grounds are very large (extremely beautiful) but with many different ways that are hard to navigate for a first time visitor. Our shoes got soaked because we couldn't find the way and no one helped us! As we were leaving I saw new plates of food exiting the kitchen. I am quite frankly shocked by the way we were treated as guests here. I should also note that the location is very remote and very clogged with traffic congestion down tiny flooded streets. It's really a shame because the garden is so...

A very bad experience of lunch there!

On Sep 20, 2024 we had a small gathering by winning a contest from a baby product! The baby product company invited us to have a lunch over there. We have asked the staffs whether we can take a short video on interviewing our team in their place and they said okay. However, after we have ordered the food and drinks around 28 USD, the foreigner( not sure whether he is the owner of the place) stop us and prohibit us from taking the video! While only having 1 tripod, with the phone we insisted to take the video interview as it is the purpose of coming here, but that foreigner still asked us to stop and will charge us 100 USD if we are doing that! Since it is our purpose is to take the video interview not to come to take their so so but expensive food, we asked them if you charge us 100 USD for one hour, what if we take the video for 10 minutes? They still arrogantly answered to us they still charge 100 USD even if we take for 10 minutes! This really makes us surprised and unwelcome by the place!

In the end, we have left the place with the food and drinks payment and not taking any video! So, we do not recommend the place as it is not...

I wasn’t sure what to expect here by the description but it looks like this was a big old abandoned private estate and they’ve transformed it into a park/bar/restaurant/cafe. It’s open but they’re still building out parts of it and it’s very cool - lots of little nooks and crannies to explore including a former-pool-turned-lake and what they call a “rainforest trail” and just some random grassy spaces and plenty of tall, beautiful and shady trees.

We went after a little rain but there are umbrellas and overhangs and roofs to get you through the rainy season. I have to admit I’m almost reluctant to tell more people about it in fears it will be overrun but it’s a lovely place to spend the day.

The food was really surprisingly good (ribs, wagyu burger, grilled veggies, etc) and even pretty fast considering how busy it was when we went on the weekend.

The service was very nice and attentive. But it really is the space that I’m here for - so rare around town and my little heart would love to see more of these types of places pop up...

A nice place to get in touch with nature and satisfy your hunger. I tried the chicken pasta with creme and mushrooms, a very hearty dish, but add their home made chili sauce, and I devoured it! So good! I had a hevonly spice chai and my friend had a peanut butter and banana smoothie, both were ok, but a bit light in flavor for me. The sweet potato, taro, and potato fries were not bad, the sauces were better when I added the chili sauce. The atmosphere was cosy, outside with many trees, cats, and two dogs roaming around. Families and large groups took over most of the seating, but everything was chill. We left as mosquitos started roaming after sunset, but many people were still enjoying themselves. There's an area near the front end which looks cozy too. This seems to be a good place to check out if you ever need a break from the city.

Today we called in advance and made sure they were open until 9. We arrived at 8 and the hostess said yes they are open until 9. The guy working the bar was super rude to us and the host. He said they actually close at 8:30, and we said no problem we can just order everything at once. That upset him and he told the host to tell us that no they close at 8:15. We still said that was fine we can get something to go and have a beer then he just said in Khmer "just tell them to go away we are closed" he kept changing the closing time until finally he just said we are closed. The hostess looked embarrassed. Maloop was 5 Stars until now. They gave an awesome museum upstairs and the owners are super nice...
