Sorry that I have to write this, but I ate one of their Steak and Guinness about two weeks ago (maybe July 5th) and had to go to the dentist because some of the meat was so dry and tough it affected my gums.
I've had food get stuck in my teeth before, but not to where I've had to go to the dentist because the food created a space in my gums, got stuck, and caused pain, swelling, and bleeding.
I had to get a deep cleaning on that tooth and I just went back for a check up today (7/14/25) and my gums around that tooth is still loose when the dentist blew air to check.
He said I could either cut my gums to adjust the space or give it time to heal: I'm gonna wait until it heals.
That being said, do something with the meat to make it more tender before you put it in the pie.
The flavor was so-so too. The pie crust didn't have much flavor (if any) on it's own and the filling was more of a deep aromatic flavor, which was ok.
The gravy is where the salt and extra flavor came from though, which helped a lot, but still.
The pie crust could use something to give it a buttery taste, at least to give it a little flavor so it can stand alone.
The "Chips" were bland until I added salt and pepper. The veggies were a bit bland too, I think they gave me a carrot and a piece of broccoli or something like that. I'll upload a picture when I can.
I've eaten there twice, and the flavor was lacking both times: a little salt won't hurt. Even the chicken tenders were way under seasoned when I had them.
Anyways, the Steak and Guinness pie needs the most work according to my gums and my taste buds. This is constructive feedback, not a baseless rant.
I hope things will improve in the future.
Also, the portion size was great (pie and chips).

Read moreI see all of these great reviews and can't help but wonder what was going on there last night (Friday)?! Orders forgotten. Multiple times. Drinks and food. We ordered a few snacks to go with our drinks and had planned to order dinner but the service and the food quality did not inspire confidence. The chips looked nothing like the photos from a couple days ago or the photos from social media advertising and have zero salt on them. The gravy had a skin on it. The fried pickles were a joke. Came with two pickles and in a different batter than advertised and did not have sauce. We brought the photo to the staff to ask why they are so different and they returned with the sauce several minutes later. The sauce tasted like sprite soda. I feel like something was going on that we were not aware of because it was nothing like I expected based on what I've seen online. Shame because they have a great sounding menu but I had no confidence to spend any more money or time there.
Even though there were issues with ordering and receiving our orders, the staff were...
Read moreAs good as any British food you’d get in the UK!
As a British couple travelling south east Asia for 8 months sometimes you just want a taste of home and this place is amazing!
I got the chicken and leek pie which was huge! The pastry was thick and crusty and the mash buttery and creamy. My girlfriend got the Cumberland wheel, mash a red cabbage which was as good as anything you’d get in England! We also shared the scotch egg which we both agreed was the best we’ve ever had!
Would recommend anyone to go here to try their food, the drinks were...
