We were on our way to the local market and saw this little restaurant on the way. After a quick look at the menu, we knew we had to sit and have a bite to eat. Not only were the prices low, the options were many.

Randomly walked into this place, but whether you believe it or not: They serve the most delicious food I could find during my five days in Phnom Penh! Everything from the breakfast selection is just incredible. The omelette with cheese is probably the best I've ever had! In general just everything tastes amazing here. It’s also great value. The service in this family run restaurant isn't the friendliest but it's super fast. I just love this place and will definitely come back whenever I return...

MAMA Restaurant serves amazing homemade food. I visited on my first night in Phnom Penh, as it was near my hotel, and was pleasantly surprised. Run by a local lady clearly trained in authentic Cambodian cooking, the food was both delicious and affordable. After 10 days in Vietnam and dining at many other (often far pricier) places, MAMA’s beef lok lak was the best I had in Cambodia.
