Rise and Grind is a great spot to grab a coffee and a treat. They’ve got vegan alternatives for hot or cold drinks, and I’ve even had some vegan desserts here too, which was nice (though the overall vegan food options are pretty limited if you’re hungry). It’s a wonderful place to hang out for the afternoon with a laptop or to catch up with friends over coffee. They do have a patio which isn’t the best view, but that’s ok because it’s nice to sit outside. Inside is total 90s vibes, which makes it feel nostalgic for my childhood. I love sitting in there. Definitely recommend it for coffee and atmosphere.

Potato dill soup is bursting with flavour. I go here every time i come through town. Best coffee in town and a surprisingly well stocked gift shop. Looks like locally made goods for the most part. And in these times your buying power is like a vote. Shop local. Don’t forget to look up and admire the burlap clad ceiling tiles. Cinnamon buns, pro level bannok avacado cookies too name a few.

One of the best cafes I have been in, cosy place. Friendliest girls on the other side of the counter. I couldn't imagine that they had these fresh bakery items which tasted wonderful. You could spend hours just sitting there and sipping coffee our trying their fresh inhouse bakery items. The best thing about this place is that it's so warm and the cheerful people around.

So disappointed, I stopped for fuel in 100 Mile and I thought I would treat myself to a really nice coffee for the road. Spotted Rise & Grind; perfect! A place that specializes in coffee will be way better than a shop that just happens to serve coffee. The place was busy; a good sign. I ordered a medium americano. The friendly young lady behind the cash offered to use the travel mug I was clutching. She even offered to rinse it for me. That was my mistake. I should have never handed over the mug. However, my desire to be responsible and not use a disposable cup got the best of me. She handed back my 16oz travel mug filled to the brim. Hmmmm, I got a bad feeling immediately but I gave her the benefit of a doubt and went on my way. A few Kms down the road I excitedly popped the top on my mug and took a swig. Darn, nothing but brown water. Assuming that they put two 1.5 oz shots of espresso in a medium americano, that means she added 13 oz of hot water to fill the mug. Maybe she though she was doing the right thing by filling the mug but...

Cute and quaint café conveniently located at the end of the local strip mall with plenty of parking and easy access to the highway.

First impressions: an extra-large patio with lots of seating. The café has a rustic farmhouse vibe, which, although not my personal taste, definitely promotes a welcoming and engaging environment.

The hardworking young lady who assisted me was the highlight of my visit. I was greeted promptly, and she made a genuine effort to connect, which I appreciated.

I ordered a mocha and the "muffin of the day" (banana chocolate). While I’m not a fan of their espresso drinks (too strong for my taste), the muffin was amazing and still warm from being freshly baked in-house.

Though a bit on the pricey side, I was more than happy to support a local business, especially one that provides top-notch customer service.

I took my order to go, but the café offers ample seating (both inside and out), a restroom, and free WiFi. It's a great spot for meetings or studying when the...
