First and last. When we got here we waited for about ten minutes before anyone even came to our table. Which the server did apologize for. We got our food pretty quick but not what I was expecting. The food and coffee was okay compared to other breakfast places. I wish the server was more informative to what we ordered. My meal was the basic 2 eggs (should have got 3 it was such a little amount compared to other places), potatoes wedges (which I didn’t love for breakfast with they had other options for potatoes) sausage (I liked), bacon and toast. She could have told me I will be getting 3 decent size sausages and didn’t inform me the bacon would be an extra charge and I’d get 4 strips. Which I found was a lot of meat and ended up wasting 3 strips of bacon and they weren’t the greatest either. My husband got the omelet which looked pretty weak and he had the pick out the huge chunks of onion as they should be diced or chopped like IHOP and Denny’s does it. The server also asked if he wanted a side of bacon with his meal which he said okay. We could have shared all the extra meat if she pointed it out it will be a lot of pieces. ($8 just for bacon which got wasted). When we asked for our bill we waited a while but she was kind enough to apologize for the wait. Overall, the service and food was whatever I doubt I will ever go back. I will stick to Denny’s down the street or drive out to...
Read moreCame on a Sunday around lunch time, got a table in about 5mins. Our server seemed annoyed, or just simply having a bad day. We waited forever for coffee, and drinks for the kiddos. After we placed our order, we watched as another table next to us, that sat down AFTER us, got their food, ate, finished and ready to pay, before we even received our food. Our food was sitting under the warmer for a LONG time. A staff member had removed our food onto the counter, away from the warmer where it sat for another 10mins before someone (not our server) brought over our food. Two other tables have left by then, and new customers have sat down.
My son's grilled cheese sandwich, was just toast and pieces of cheese slapped on (def not a grilled cheese) My strawberry for the strawberry waffle was mush by the time I got it from sitting under the warmer. My bacon could break a jaw. My daughter's pancake was barely luke warm. My boyfriend's 10star skillet was almost cold. Our server came to ask us how our food was as she was walking by and didnt even wait for an answer.
Waiting for a coffee refill in their teeny tiny cup was like waiting for it to rain in the dessert. She asked once if we wanted a refill, we said yes please and never to see her again.
Our server gave us minimal interactions while circling to all the tables around us.
This was a terrible experience. If I could give -5 stars...
Read moreI love going to Cora's. They serve so many unique meals. Even one of the waiters at Cora's said the food is better than IHOP in Abbotsford, and she used to work there.
I recently had the Nacho Grilled Cheese with Fresh Fruit. The grilled cheese really tasted like a nacho sandwich, with the chicken tasting good on its own and the bread toasted to perfection. The fruit was vibrant in flavour and came in variety. The coffee is always good. I have also tried their sparkling coffee, which was overwhelming with favour with notes of caramel, although it loses as you drink, due to the ice.
The Triple Chocolate Pancakes I had was potent in chocolate and cocoa taste with hot moist chocolate chips that made it a memorable meal.
During my recent visit, I was there during their waffle festival that is going on until January 12th of 2025. So I ordered their Harvest Crunch Waffle, which came with an assortment of fruits, oats and Cora's cream all on a chocolate waffle. It was also their best choice in the new selection of waffles. The waffle was delicious on its own while the contents were fresh and piquant. I also had their latte and it was decent, but tasted better with a packet of sugar added.
The workers are very considerate of your presence and serves you whenever they can. I highly recommend Cora's for both...
