Greek Islands Restaurant — Restaurant in Abbotsford

Went based solely on it being the top suggestion on google when we were out in Abbotsford for the day and trying to decide on dinner. And it did not disappoint!

Walked in on a busy Saturday night without a reso and they still managed to sit us immediately.

The food was PHENOMENAL. We had the roast lamb dinner, and half rack of lamb - chops style. I picked up the bone in my roast lamb and the meat literally fell off. It was perfection. Complete heaven. The potatoes were so gorgeously marinated and packed with flavour. Even down to the little things like basting the pita with garlic butter (no dry pita here!) and the seasoning on the steamed veg. Just, chef's kiss! And the baklava was incredible! The perfect portion for the end of a large meal, but when you just want to end on a sweet note. We also took home some of the Greek dressing they make in-house and it is ridiculously good! I could drink it by the gallon. We were also lucky enough to snag a bottle of the fig infused balsamic glaze made by one of the owner's cousins in Greece (iirc) - too perfect because we had just picked up some brussel sprouts that we wanted to roast with some kind of drizzle glaze.

And, of course, the service was next LEVEL. Truly, you can tell how well the staff are trained, work together, and how much they love and have passion for what they do. It shows in spades. The owners were going around setting up tables with the servers and checking in on diners throughout the night. Truly, I could espouse their virtues until I turn blue in the face. And I know I wasn't the only one taken by the level of service, I overhead another table saying how impressed they were.

All in all, this was a fabulous way to end our date day out in Abbotsford, with a soul-nourishing meal among incredibly passionate and caring people doing an amazing job.

First time going here with my small family of four. The day we decided to go was quite busy with reservations, but they were still able to accommodate us. The server us was kind of slow and didn't check on us much, which is understandable due to the number of people in there. She also took a little while to return with a request, like a fork, for example, so I would be forced to ask someone else who would then bring it.

The food was soooo delicious. I am originally from Montreal, where there is tons of different cultural food, Greek included, and I remember saying to my husband that this tastes like home- authentic Greek food. My husband and I ordered a platter for 2, which was definitely worth the value. We had tons of leftovers afterwards, and the food tasted even better the next day. Our kids had the fish and chips and they very much enjoyed it.

Touch point highlight was when the owner of this specific location came over to our table to introduce himself and asked how everything was. He apologized for the slow service ( I never complained) and also explained that the rush of people that came in had overwhelmed his staff. I commented on the authenticity of the food, and he was proud. 100% Greek owner and (maybe) head chef. His brother owns the second location in Abbotsford.

I will DEFINITELY be going there again. 10/10 food 8/10 service and I love that there is something for everyone...

When we were at parking I thought it is closed..Looked for main entrance door which is not quite visible at first go.When we entered this place surprised me.Beautiful ambience, quite a happening place for a date or weekend dinners.I never check any reviews before going to a place as everyone has their own experiences😀.

We ordered 2 drinks - Caesar and long island. Caesar was amaaazzzing.Long island was average.. Not even served in a highball.So again the drink quantity was less.

A starter we ordered- Ouzo prawns - 2/5 Very very less quantity if considered price and taste. Taste was very average.Nothing special about it.

For Mains- We ordered a platter for 2 Portion size was Too big- I don’t think anyone can finish that size of platter in 1 meal😂. 1 would rate 4/5. There was a beef item too that we replaced with extra chicken skewers. Spanakopita was amazing- must try here❤️ Lobster tail with butter was good Rest all other food was fine but a bit SALTY for us.I mean I normally consume good amt of salt but here it was on much higher side for me..

Overall - 5/3 for my experience. The manager was good enough coming to each table for feedback.Servers were good.Food was served quickly so kitchen team was fast.
