Rendezvous — Restaurant in Abbotsford

What a disappointing experience dinner tonight was.

My wife and I came in for our first and last time this evening, we were excited after being seated and were finally presented menus. That was the highlight of our evening. Everything went downhill from there.

We asked a simple question and our waitress answered rudely. And then seemed to forget about us for a period of time after bringing our waters. We sat so long another staff member came and asked if we had been helped and we said "yes. Our waitress said she would be right back." And then we waited even longer. Tables around us were presented with drink menus and pizza menus (we had no idea pizza was an option until we saw a table presented them after we ordered)

The food was extremely overcooked on both of our plates. I had the chicken and prawn dinner. My piece of chicken (described as a chicken breast) was so small it could have been a chicken strip. Was so overcooked and dry that it was painful to eat. My prawns were hard and rubbery. The rice was ok and the potato was also a very small portion.

My wife's ordered the greek ribs and they were also overcooked and extremely dry.

Not once did our waitress check on us or attempt to offer drink refills. We were forgotten about until she randomly brought us our cheque. She ploped the debit machine down in front of me and walked away. After paying and getting up to leave not one staff member thanked us for coming or acknowledged us. We felt forgotten and invisible.

Our waitresses comments to other tables also seemed completely unprofessional to us

I would never recommend this place to anyone. We had huge regret after we left. We left feeling sad and robbed of a good experience we would have had anywhere else. Instead of happy...

Last week I went to the Aldergrove Zoo with a friend of mine and after the zoo closed we had wanted to go for dinner.

We originally were hoping to go to Ocean Park Pizza in Aldergrove, but they are closed for dine in and are only doing take out, so decided to go elsewhere. We looked online and found this place and decided to make the trek out here

We arrived to a nice cozy feel restaurant that was nice and quiet and seated immediately. We both ordered Calamari appetizer for our starter, and my friend ordered the mousaka dinner and I had fettuccini alfredo

the calamari was delicious.....we totally enjoyed that. our entrees came out later and my friend reported that thier mousaka was good (Even though I am Greek, I hate mousaka) but I can tell you that my fettuccini alfredo was FANTASTIC (and for only $16) PHENOMINAL.

I am not exaggerating when I say that I have not had fettuccini this good in years. You know how back in the 90's how fettuccini would normally taste in a restaurant? It's like they forgot that alot of restaurants are using lower quality ingredients these days and instead this restaurant is using what was used in the 80's and 90's. Oh boy was I impressed (and for $16??? I was NOT expecting something this good)

Unfortunately since I live in Vancouver with a busy life style and expensive gas, I won't be able to come out to this restaurant nearly as often as I like. But it definitely will be one that I frequent when I am out in the...

I had come in on the Monday Victoria Day long weekend with one of my friends after visiting the Aldergrove Zoo.....I had been here a few times before in the last year, and am really amazed with the food, so try to make sure for the most part to come to this restaurant when I am in the Abbotsford area......

I had ordered a Calamari appetizer (no onions, but they made a mistake.....which happens no big deal) our waiter (Keane) noticed this and apologized and offered to fix this, but we told him it was ok and we would just put the onions on the side......the calamari with tzatziki was really great

For dinner, I had ordered fettucini alfredo, and my friend had spaghetti with meat sauce. both dishes were $16, which I find to be a very good deal these days.......my friend told me that she enjoyed her spaghetti and I really liked my fettucini (I noticed there was no nutmeg in it (Which unfortunately not alot of restaurants put in.....but I am sure lots of people don't like it, so guessing places do without it now) but when I brought this up to Keane, he brought me out a bottle of nutmeg and said I could use as much as I wanted for my dish (that was great, as I love nutmeg on my pasta and made my meal even more better)

Most of all, I was really impressed with Keane's service......he was friendly, attentive and did really well in serving us......He is a great server and I hope the owner knows this
