I took my wife here this evening and the sushi was astounding!! The service was incredible and friendly and we got the chance to try something new because of the kindness of the chef with all of his explanations.

The restaurant is tucked away at the south end of McCallum road so we had to make special note to try it on our next night off together. We sampled multiple dishes so we could get a feeling of what they had to offer. Our table was packed with a variety of dishes ranging from their soups to their rolls and then their noodles.

Easy contender for champion was the won ton soup which, take warning, has more of an onion flavor to the base. I adored this but could see some patrons being surprised by the flavor. Next up we sampled the beef yakisoba which was presented in a great moon shaped dish that really brought a smile to my face. The flavors of the noodles and vegetables were brought out by the sweet marinated beef that melted in my mouth. I was absolutely stunned. This dish by itself would make a fantastic lunch idea if you are ever in a hurry and need something healthy, substantial and well priced.

Now an old favorite, the caterpillar roll. The chef passed this onto our table and explained his method of rolling there sushi to capture flavor and bountiful amounts of filling. I pretended to understand but was far to preoccupied devouring the rolls. Stunning.

My wife attacked the assorted tempura that we ordered and I was astonished to find that it was not overly greasy which seems to be the standard amongst other establishments. The flavoring was on point as well.

My salmon sashimi is basically the stuff of legends. It was tender and mouth watery and was plated with lemon and Subtle cucumber to just even out the entirety of the dish.

I’ve taken special note of how we were greeted and how we were escorted when we left. This place has the most abundant customer service and welcoming atmosphere. I’m even told they are a family run establishment which hits close to my heart. This is some of the best sushi I have had since I was in Japan all those years ago. The flavors and the kindness brought memories back to me and I cannot wait to return. Make this place your new stop and hit them up. It’s one of Abbotsford best kept sushi secrets and it really shouldn’t...

There was hair in my food! See below...

Food here is standard westernized Japanese fare. The portions are fine and reasonably priced. I ordered their California Roll Box (it includes miso soup, salad, chicken teriyaki, 4 pieces california roll, and tempuras).

I have a few comments, though:

(a) The California roll needs some good roll'n as it breaks easily when grabbed by a chopstick.

(b) About the hair... I found a roughly one-inch length hair as I was about to finish my meal. I found the hair along with the chicken teriyaki.

The owner reasoned out that the lady in the kitchen has hair net and that her hair is long. The owner also wear head gear. Fine. The owner reasoned out that the guy making the sushi, while he did not wear head covering, has short hair shorter than 1 inch. Fine. So where did the hair come from? Anyway he apologized and tried to give me a discount. I said no and paid the full amount.

I am not coming back to...

I recently ordered from Sushi Box, and I am beyond impressed! Every roll was fresh, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. The California Roll was a perfect balance of flavors, with creamy avocado and fresh cucumber wrapped in rice with a delightful sesame crunch. The Spicy Tuna Roll had just the right amount of heat, with the tuna perfectly complemented by the spicy mayo — it was a flavor explosion in every bite! I also tried the Philadelphia Roll, and the combination of smoked salmon and cream cheese was heavenly. It was rich and smooth, with a nice crunch from the cucumber. The Dragon Roll not only tasted amazing but was a visual masterpiece! The grilled eel with avocado on top and a drizzle of eel sauce made it both sweet and savory. Finally, the Salmon Avocado Roll was light, fresh, and buttery — a perfect choice for those who love simple yet...

Heard a lot of nice review about this place so I decided to order the first time. I got a “Poke Bowl” on Uber Eats for 18$ and I gotta say this is the worst thing I have ordered in my whole life. The dish description is (“Cubed salmon, tuna, avocado and other ingredients with poke sauce. Items are served with miso and rice” Firstly, where is avocado? And what even are the “other ingredients” as I only see cucumbers. Secondly, WHERE is the miso? And the “poke sauce” is just soy sauce. The portion of both protein and rice is underwhelming. And the fish is also not fresh at all, they tasted mushy. And on top of everything, they gave me NO SPOON to eat the rice, only chopsticks… There was NOTHING good about this other and the price is 18$? It was definitely a scam! I am heavily disappointed and don’t even want to go try other dishes from here.

The best sushi restaurant I've visited east of the Fraser River. I was visiting from Surrey and was blown away by the explosion of flavours, from the fresh ingredients to the succulent sauces. The Toro Nigiri and Spicy Tuna roll were made with extremely fresh cuts of fish that melt in your mouth. The rice was cooked perfectly and paired well with the fish. The chicken roll was delicious as well. It was nice and crispy, the teriyaki sauce had a very subtle sweetness that provided great balance with the other flavours. I received complimentary miso soup, and it was surprisingly one of the best miso I've had in many years. The service and food were phenomenal! Thank you for the lovely lunch, I will definitely visit again in the future.
