McDonald's — Restaurant in Airdrie

This review is directed at all employees/leaders working at this location but specifically the employees for August 13th at 10:00am

As previous reviews have mentioned, it’s a Walmart McDonald’s so expectations are low but there are simple standards that can be met with ease by anyone within the age range that gets hired at a “fast” food location. I quote fast due to the fact the employees have absolutely no sense of urgency whatsoever, I watched today as the associate taking care of the front desk made 4 coffee with minimal ingredients. This task took 5 minutes to put a few creams and sugars into the coffee and put lids on, a task that should take no more than 1 minute or less. Along with that, I ordered a coffee and a hash brown, this took 16 minutes to complete for whatever reason. The hashbrowns were made fresh so obviously that takes a few minutes, but I’ve worked at McDonald’s and I know it doesn’t take 16 minutes to do this. All of this could be forgiven if it was busy as the Walmart McDonald’s usually don’t have more than 3 employees at any given time but it wasn’t busy, they were handling 3 orders at this time 2 of which were just coffee and one a egg mcmuffin and a hash brown (which was ordered 5 minutes after mine and was given to the other customer 2 minutes before ). A simple solution would be hiring some people who actually will have even the slightest bit of urgency, it is a lame job and it’s not fun but it doesn’t take much effort to work at a McDonald’s. This experience isn’t world ending but with the low expectations McDonald’s sets, it would be atleast good if they met those, but everytime I go to this location it’s always way to long, not made correctly, and just disappointing. As my meal was getting made I watched an employee move SHREDDED CHEESE (not even the cheese curds that I thought I paid for and I was not told about this change either) straight from the burger bar to my poutine which was enclosed in her hands and walked about 10-15 feet after I’ve been watching her touch her self and her clothing. I know McDonald’s is obviously going to be greasy food but When I received my good my McDouble was seriously dripping in grease including the bun, the burgers were grey and had no seasoning at all on them. Alongside the poutine and McDouble I ordered a jrchicken and the jr chicken was seriously brown as if it was sitting there for 2 hours and the meat inside was grey and very dry. Worst McDonald’s experience ever and that’s saying a lot. Stay away from this dirty disgusting McDonald’s. I never have high hopes for fast food but still guys what are...

Gto the walmart McDonald's today with my son. Upon ordering they told me that they couldn't make over half the menu. So I order a Quarter Pounder. See my attached photo to see how that came out. The bottom was the middle bun from a big mac, and it had lettuce all over it. I approached one of the employees argued with me what was suupost to be on a quarter pounder with cheese, and she began touching the food without asking so I just gave all the food back and got a refund.

What had happened was they needed garbage bags. So of the three employees they had working they sent the only chef who could prepare any food to go get garbage bags. During this time 3 or 4 customers got fully refundable as all the food was messed up, and more then that just simply walked away. Terrible service. Will ask my wife to no longer take our son to this location...
