Noodlebox — Restaurant in Airdrie

Ok, let's just start by saying, the lady that took my order had a smile on her face. Its really important with everything going on in our lives that we still see cheerful people. Full marks to her and a thank you for that.

This will be a direct comparison to Wok box cause let's face it, these 2 compete directly.

Value for money:- Right off the bat, you both are expensive. 14 bucks gets you a regular sized meal, for a take out, thats expensive. But Noodlebox wins... more protein and bigger box.

Taste:- Full disclosure, i havent had everything off the menu at both places but of what I have had, Noodlebox wins. Their sauces taste fresher and not out of a stale can for some reason. That means wok box, yours does.

Quality:- Noodlebox has better quality cause the food tastes fresh.

I dont care about much when it comes to food. If it tastes good and can justify the price, I am in. Nooblebox is better on taste and the value is better.

Noodlebox, you need wings on your menu cause you already have great sauces. Or have a fried chicken with dip or something. Love your food.

Just one thing... when you cook something on a wok, it has a smoky flavour to it.. thats the only thing lacking. And MSG is not bad, no one has...

Ordered 4 meals for delivery. 1 medium heat, the other 3 low heat as they were for kids. Once received, receipt attached to the order showed 2 low and 2 medium, and to taste, the one that was supposed be low and receipt showing medium was significantly hotter than the medium one (in short - we got 2 low, 1 medium, 1 hot). We had to throw it away. The other 3 were quite good. Sent an email to the restaurant right away to give them a chance to address the issue, and a week later - didn't get any answer. Quite disappointing for the price they charge for their meals. In short - good tasting meals, but if you have to throw away 1/4 of your order like we did because of a mistake they made, it ends up being a costly (and lighter than expected ) dinner. Mistakes happen, but not responding to customer's concerns is why we won't be back.

Edit: the store manager responded to my email after I left this review, days after our order, offering us one free meal on my next order. He blamed the delivery platform for the dish being mislabeled. I can hear that but honestly...it's a little too late, not enough and I can confirm we...

Noodle box is just a low-end rip off of Oodle Noodle. Do not waste your time or money eating at any noodle box, but in particular this location is really disappointing. Save yourself the headache, just go to Oodle Noodle. Oodle Noodle is way better in terms or price, food quality, and taste. Plus the noodle box is run by a pretty arrogant young man, and he is very high up on himself, seems to think he's God's gift to food or something.... Anyways, you could not pay me to go back to this location...every experience I have ever had here has been over priced and disgusting. I have never once, been able to eat the food I have ordered here... just don't go here. Give Oodle Noodle try, it's the OG. If you look at the history, noodle box - honestly is just a rip off oodle noodle (est. 2005). Noodle box, while established in 2001, in Vancouver- underwent a complete redesigned in 2010, to copy oodle noodle's business plan entirely... but Noodle box is just trash... get the good stuff, t Oodle Noodle.
