Vietnamese Western Cuisine — Restaurant in Airdrie

This is my local Vietnamese and I'm so happy they're still in business. Really surprised at the most recent one-star review as the way the owner's son explained it to me is that they charge 25% more on Skip the Dishes than if you call the restaurant directly (which I do every time to ensure the restaurant makes the profit instead of Skip). Yes, it was their choice to use Skip (to try and attract new customers), but the contract was made before the pandemic and Skip takes 25% of every order. It's hard enough for a small business to get by at the best of times let alone in times like these.

For the most part the food here is stellar. I've enjoyed everything I've tried, from subs to salad/spring rolls, to vermicelli. Sure, they've had hiccups like any business (forgetting the sauce for my salad rolls, not putting extra veggies on my sub when I've asked, putting lettuce instead of cucumbers on my sub [maybe they ran out??], charging $5 for a tiny iced coffee that lasted 3 sips - hence why I've taken off one star), but I keep going back because the food is great and the people are lovely. And the sub bread is TO DIE FOR.

So if you live in Airdrie and you're wondering where to order your Vietnamese from, try these guys. And if they happen to forget something, just remember - they're only human! And just trying to get by in these...

Decided to try this place out after debating for a few years now. Salad rolls are PERFECT but peanut sauce is o.k but I wouldn't order them because I find the peanut sauce is key and this one doesn't hit the spot. Spring rolls are really yummy BUT they are so tiny its just not worth it. I can't really comment on the pho because there was a miss communicatio, I got chicken and I have never order chicken pho and to me this one was not all that great. I usually have the raw beef as you can imagine the flavor is very different. I ended up throwing out the pho. I hope they can take away the feedback shared in the reviews and beef up the spring rolls. The staff was really nice and I sincerely wish them the best of luck. I tried because of the mixed reviews but I have to say, the portions of meat mentioned in previous comments are 100% correct. The flavor is great and the owners are fantastic but I'm sad to have to leave a negative review.

We ordered the pork chop on rice and pork chop spring rolls on vermicelli. It was a fantastic presentation but when I started mixing the dish, the meat ratio was so off. Big bowl of noodles with veggies and a sliver of meat. I'm not sure if I can justify having to order extra meat for an extra charge on-top of market value.
