Hunters Spot — Restaurant in Ajax

Was out riding my bike, looking for a casual place to stop and grab a bite to eat for lunch, and found the Hunters spot when searching Google for a good burger joint. I ended up visiting twice in two days. The restaurant is extremely clean and nicely decorated. You can tell right away that they take pride in their business. As I mentioned I was craving a burger but after a nice chat with the owners (answered all my questions and were very helpful despite me being comically indecisive) I decided to go with their suggested Tandoori Chicken Tango roll instead. I was very impressed with the flavors and freshness. You can tell it's all homemade. I also tried a little crispy chicken puff pastry, which was fresh and satisfying.

I went back the following day, I tried their double-decker burger, and it too was excellent. The sauce (apparently a mixture of 3 homemade sauces was awesome). It's a totally messy burger, but it's just the way I like it, I have to say I'm very impressed. I will be going back soon, and this time, I'll be taking the family with me.

On a side note, when i was looking at the reviews, someone provided a negative review, which i noted was inaccurate and misleading. I'm not in any way affiliated with the owners, nor do i know them personally, but i felt compelled to share my point of view. I found the prices to be very reasonable given the portions and in line with what you'd expect to pay for good quality homemade food. The reviewer commented about the prices being high. In particular, they referenced pop at $6. I purchased canned pop, and it was $1.99, not $6, which is, in fact, cheaper than many other restaurants these days. I'm not sure if they were having a bad day, but I don't think it's right to dunk on a new business and provide misleading information while doing so.

A Culinary Gem in Canada!

During our vacation from Florida to Canada last month, we stumbled upon Hunters Spot, and wow, what an incredible experience!

I had the Mighty Bison, and it was a flavor explosion. The meat was cooked to perfection, tender, juicy, and seasoned beautifully—it’s a dish I’ll be dreaming about for weeks! My son went for the Dragon Breath Wings, which had the perfect balance of heat and flavor, leaving him grinning from ear to ear. My husband chose the Beef Kabab Bistro with Rice, and it was like a symphony of spices and textures—every bite was better than the last.

We also couldn’t resist trying some appetizers, and the Jalapeno Poppers were next-level delicious—crispy, creamy, and with just the right kick of spice. For drinks, we explored a mix of their mocktails, and each one was better than the last. The Pina Paradise Punch, Island Guava Quencher, and Mango Mania were refreshing, tropical delights that perfectly complemented our meal.

The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Hunters Spot truly knows how to deliver not just a meal but an unforgettable dining experience. If you're ever in Canada, don’t miss this gem!

Best After-School Hangout Spot!

Hunters Spot is officially my favorite place to chill with friends! We went there for lunch after school, and it was such a cool experience. I ordered the Beefy Double Decker Burger, and it was EPIC. The patties were juicy, the cheese was melty, and the toppings were so fresh—it was everything I wanted in a burger and more.

We also shared the Bangkok Bites Wings and Corn Ribs, and wow, just wow. The wings were sweet, spicy, and so flavorful, while the corn ribs were super fun to eat and had the perfect seasoning. Seriously, we couldn’t stop talking about how good everything was.

For drinks, I had the Bonfire Cold Brew, and it was next-level amazing! It was smooth, bold, and had this flavor that made it totally unique. Perfect for a coffee lover like me.
