McDonald's — Restaurant in Ajax

This specific location is dirtier than most McDonald's locations. The night shift managers(as far as I know) are cheap and will gladly sacrifice your health and well-being to save an extra penny from having to throw away bad food. For the past year everytime I order at night they give me spoiled food. Even when I explicitly ask for it to be made fresh they don't always follow through. They make you wait and serve you the same food that was ready when you ordered it. I don't know who's in charge of finances/food safety but this location seriously needs health inspections. This culture is disgusting. If you're going to order here, ask for your food to be WELL DONE and ask for the receipt to reflect that. I doubt they will comply but atleast then you'll have some sort of evidence when you get food poisoning. I'm not in the business of leaving bad reviews but my order from last night marks the final straw. I spent $45 on uber eats and NONE of my food was edible. I've had the same experience ordering from the McDonald's app & going through the drive through. I look forward to somebody losing their job over this. If the standard for being open 24/7 means they serve food that should be thrown out simply because no other restaurant is open to compete I will gladly participate in this location's demise. The managers have a horrible culture of putting the customer last. I had another experience last year where a worker handed my food to somebody else and after waiting half an hour already(I had ordered well done and it's normal for you to have to wait for it to be made fresh), the manager did not want to give me a refund and instead made me wait another 25 minutes for it to be remade. I truly understand that this is a fast food restaurant and not a fine dining place. However, I have a very difficult time with employees that lie to their customers. The last time I was there they asked me to park my vehicle into their spot number 2 while they prepare my order. Upon the workers arrival to my window I asked the individual “Did they place Ketchup packets in the bag?” And they answered “yes, sir” I return to work with our orders to discover not a single packet was placed in the bag.

A short time time after this first incident I returned to this location. Placed my order, paid and upon receiving our food I asked if I could have some Ketchup the manager snapped at me saying “Did you ask for Ketchup when placing your order?” I told her no, I didn’t know I had to. Why isn’t it common practice to place Ketchup in anyone’s bag that ordered fries?

This evening I placed my order at the speaker asking for Ketchup, napkins and straws. I pulled up to the first window and paid for my order. Arrived at the second window, received my for and asked us the Ketchup I asked for in the bag? Without any hesitation she said “YES”. Upon my arrival at home, I open the bag to discover there is no ketchup in the bag. I know your thinking your at home. Yes I am, but now I’m putting cold Ketchup on already cold fries. We all know nothing that comes out of McDonals is never Hot, room temperature at best.

Over the past year, year and a half, this location has gone downhill significantly! A majority of the staff are rude. They mess up almost every order and, if you're going there, thinking about quickly grabbing a coffee from curbside on your way to work, prepare to be late! They'll have you sit for 5-20 minutes without fail every time. An employee dropped my breakfast sandwich on the ground outside the window and then refused to refund me, repeatedly stating she'll make a new one when I declined that offer the first time. Ever since covid came about, I've started wiping down my cups or switching it altogether and, when I took my lid off one time, I found a hair in there and, the coffee wasn't even full (see photo). I've found a fly in my salad(luckily I hadn't eaten it yet and luckily for them, I was so disgusted I didn't take a picture), I once drank a whole coffee to find a plastic container in the bottom...I think I didn't notice because it was probably floating in the cup until I had more. Any time you ask for no onions.... You still receive onions 🙄. When I reached out to their head office, not only was the lady rude but she basically told me she didn't believe me. So, I told her to look out for this review and pictures. It took awhile as I was moving but, here's the review and please see the pictures 😎
