Puzzling and frustrating experience at this location. Ordered a breakfast biscuit and a lemonade. It was quite a lengthy wait for the food after I ordered – around 10 minutes. Maybe they were short staffed? In my time waiting I witnessed a number of customers ordering pairs of breakfast sandwiches, referencing a special. I then heard the woman working at the counter tell a customer who had trouble deciding that “all breakfast sandwiches were 2 for 4 dollars.”
I was not told that when I had ordered. And looked around the desk and at all the signage, and didn’t see this advertised.
When she had a free moment, I asked her why I wasn’t informed of this deal. Her response was “you ordered 1, that’s what I entered.” I told her that had I been told of the deal, I would have ordered it (I mean; it’s either 1 sandwich for 4 dollars or TWO sandwiches for 4 dollars – wouldn’t have been a hard decision!). Was told AGAIN that “you just ordered 1 sandwich so I figured that’s all you wanted.”
I told her that since the 2nd sandwich was essentially free, I wanted the second one (apparently I owed a few cents to make up the difference, which was fine.) She was clearly not happy to make the adjustment on the cash register and to put through the order for the second sandwich. Eye rolling; muttering under her breath; going out of her way to show annoyance.
C’mon, Wendy’s. If you have a great offer happening, tell people about it! Customers are not going to be happy if they overhear that they could have received a “free” sandwich had they known about the deal. It feels sneaky and deceptive to stay silent. And it’s really poor form to then frame the discussion in a way that blames the customer – it was apparently my fault for not knowing about the special, and not ordering the special.
I don’t know if this was an off day. And if my experience would have been different had another employee taken my order. But between slow food preparation and attitude of staff member, I can’t recommend...
Read moreOn the evening of the 16th, of May, 2021 my wife and I decided, we should get something from a restaurant. It’s been over a year since we’ve been to any restaurant. We were happy to have chosen Wendy’s. I got to the speaker and ordered a grilled chicken combo, instead of honey mustard If I could have it made with mayo, ice tea to drink and a chocolate frosty. I was informed they didn’t have any chocolate frosty’s. I then asked for the strawberry frosty. I pulled up to the fist widow and paid. I then moved up to the second window, my drinks are handed to me then my bag of food. I then ask for a spoon for my frosty and she is too busy talking with the boy at the frosty machine. Therefore, I remain at the second window. She then comes back, and I ask her for a spoon once again. She then tells us with attitude that she had not bagged our order. I don’t really care who bagged my order, I still want a spoon for my frosty. We’re handed a spoon with and I quote sarcastically “Have a lovely day”. My wife asked for her name and she replied Mellllliiiiisssssa. Now the entire store is laughing at us. My wife entered your facilities to speak to a manager. A female employee walks up to the counter as says “can I help you?” She didn’t relise the actual Managaer had just walked up behind her. I expressed my concerns to the manager but all I could see was the entire staff still laughing at me. I happen to be a nurse at a local hospital and if I ever treated a patient or family member the way I was treated tonight, I would have been fired. I believe this entire store needs more training on how to speak to your customers, since that are all lacking professionalism. You won’t have any customers if you keep operating this way. I know this establishment will never acquire my business again. Thanks for the public...
Read moreI ordered breakfast sandwich here twice in the past 3 months. The last one was 2 weeks ago. Both times I ordered a sausage breakfast sandwich. The one in the big poster. The first time I went thru the drive thru. I got in the highway and I start munching on it, the English muffin was hard as a rock. I did not eat it threw it in the trash. The second one, I actually went in and ordered the same thing, I soon as I hold it , it was like holding a brick. I returned it. Also I pointed out to the Black lady manager that there was dried up softdrinks on the floor right next to the softdrink machine. Her response was "that's why there is a cone there." I responded with "Should you have somebody mop it up first before putting the hazard sign . The liquid already dried and became sticky. She did not mind me and keeps talking to an acquaintance of hers. Now I go to the Wendy's at Bayly Ajax. Always good food the manager much nicer, the place clean and tidy. An additional 5 min drive...
