This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a fast food place. I go to Edmonton once every couple months and usually stop at this A&W. Anyway… when we pulled up to the speaker to put in our order, we waited over 3min before they took our order ( and no they weren’t busy at all.) So there’s that… when we get to the window to pay, the guy working the window definitely had some attitude. He finally opened the window, didn’t tell me what the cost was, just took my $20 bill. Then told me to pull ahead even though there wasn’t anyone behind me. I asked why and he said that he was on a timer, and I didn’t move so he slammed the window shut. He seemed pissed off. Then when our food came, he opened the window and gave me the bag and slammed the window shut and seemed even more angry. I have been in customer service for about 30 years now and I can’t imagine treating someone like that. I’ve dealt with bad customer service before, but this was beyond unacceptable. I stopped at the drive-thru at 7:30 AM on March 11 after a four-hour highway drive, just looking to grab a beef burger. Instead of basic professionalism, I was met with pure hostility.
The woman working the morning drive-thru was incredibly rude and outright humiliated me just for ordering a burger in the morning. She wasn’t subtle about it, she started yelling and made it obvious she had an issue with my order. After that, she completely ignored me. No acknowledgment, no respect, just straight-up disgusting behavior.
And this isn’t the first time this has happened. I’ve had multiple similar experiences here, even last year, same person. Clearly, this drive-thru worker does not belong in customer service. If management cares at all, they need to fix this immediately because no one should be treated like this for simply ordering food.

Currently staying at the hotel next door, so it's convenient but we're to a point of walking further down the road to avoid this place.
We were the only customers when we walked in. Didn't acknowledge us while the manager and another employee had a chit chat. Finally the manager told the kid he should probably pay attention to the (only) customer, waiting to order. Kid takes the order, says barely a word, and they resume their chat before the receipt even prints. It was left forgotten.
But the part that gave me a good giggle was when the manager hollared my partners order number out into the dining room, as though we weren't the only people inside the building. 🤣 and since we didn't get a receipt or order number.. we had to assume it was ours haha.
