We had been planning to visit Blaze since they opened a few weeks ago, and when I received a coupon for a free pizza in the mail, it was the perfect time to give it a shot! Upon entering the business, we had no idea where to go and what to do. Later as we ate our meal, I watched people enter the door, and saw an equal amount of confusion as to where to go. People are ingrained with automatically going to the right when entering somewhere, and unfortunately, you have to go left to enter the queue to order your food. Every person we saw come in, went first to the right. A minor thing, but still, maybe some signage as to which direction you should go might help here. Once we found out where to go, the woman who greeted us behind the counter was pleasant, asked us if it was our first time, and then explained how it worked. We ordered our pizza and then again, had no idea what to do or where to go. There was another couple just standing there as well, maybe they didnt know what to do either. We then went to stand by the till to pay for our order. No one came or asked us to pay for a couple minutes, so we just stood there not knowing what to do. Eventually someone came, we paid for our order, then again, we didnt know what to do. Do we sit down, stand there and wait, someone brings our food, we have to pick up...we had no idea. Eventually we just filled up our drink and sat down. Eventually, someone very quietly and timidly called out my name, if I wasnt watching/listening, totally would have missed it. So i went up and sure enough my order was ready. There were some condiments on a rack (parm/peppers) so I grabbed one and sat down. Maybe they should be on the tables? Not sure, it seemed odd to grab stuff from a rack against the wall. I had to get up and try to locate napkins as well. Now to the food...The pizza itself was quick, hot and very tasty. We had the Green Stripe pizza. Now for what they charge to buy it normally ($12.85 I believe) I dont feel that the value was there. It was delicious, but if it wasnt free, I would have felt that I didnt get my moneys worth. They are extremely thin and the toppings are very sparse, which is fine, but not worth what you pay for it, and we still felt hungry when we left. We also bought a beverage to go with, and they give you a small plastic cup to fill for $2.55. You can refill it as much as you want, but again, the value wasnt there. Drinks are always a rip off anyways, but this seemed even worse than other places, as it was so small. They did have the usual fountain pop, and some different varieties of drinks as well, which we tried but didnt find to be that special. All in all, we are glad we tried it, if they find some way of explaining or showing how you are supposed to interact with every step of the transaction, it could be better. While it tasted very good, we tend to be very value conscious with our outings, so we'd probably give this place a pass in the future, unless they had some sort of coupon offering to make the prices...
Read moreThe whole schtick with the place is... it's subway but with pizza. Fresh dough, pick a signature pizza or make your own, work your way through ingredients and add ons, and they cook it in a fire oven and call you when it's done. Thin crusts which hold up to the ingredients and stay crispy! I loved the $14 meat eater pizza, and I should, cause I customized it with garlic instead of onions and bbq sauce finish. If I didn't like It, would it be my fault? They did a fantastic job of decorating and I like the eating area, except for one thing. The tables are not movable and are waaaaay too close to the benches in the middle of the eatery. This will piss some people off. Also, napkins shouldn't be hidden in the corner by the fountain pop, no one goes there to pick up their pizza. Put them with the pizza or on the tables please. Also, you don't get a choice of size, they are all 11" pizzas. But I can say it's enough for my appetite and they do have extras like salad and cookies if you need more. They also beer and wine. Overall I was pretty happy with Blaze Pizza and will definitely put it into my rotation of places to eat in...
Read moreBack to back orders, cold pizza. First delivery I ordered, the restaurant called me to say it had been sitting there for a while waiting to be picked up. I informed them that I ordered it for delivery, so they sent out the exact same pizza that had been sitting there for who knows how long. Barely warm. Second delivery, I placed an order in advance to be delivered around 8:30. The link that was texted to me from doordash didn't show the order whatsoever so I phoned the restaurant to confirm that they received it. She said it's been ready since 8:01, and it was still sitting there waiting to be picked up. It was 8:20 at this point. I said I didn't want cold pizza delivered again, so she said she would refire it, and find out where the driver was. Ordered showed up within the delivery time estimate, and it was BARELY warm. I would say it definitely was not refired before it was sent out. If you want hot pizza, order somewhere else, or pick it up yourself, because their delivery system is absolutely atrocious. The restaurant does very little to compensate for the poor quality of pizza they deliver, especially for...
