Belgian Beer Café — Restaurant in Alberta

ABSOLUTELY WORST SERVICE!!!!! That I have ever seen. I waited at the "door" as there is no sign to say seat yourself or to wait. After waiting for around 5 minutes and multiple staff walking past me (not saying anything to me) a bartender shouted across the restaurant to tell me to sit down where I would like. After choosing a table I then sat for at least 5-10 more minutes while once again multiple staffers didn't even acknowledge my presence, or bring me a menu. My server brought over a menu and took my drink order and that was the last I saw of her. Upon getting a poutine to snack on, it was not only cold but also the gravy was basically gravy jello 🤢, and once again not one person came to check my meal, ask me about another drink or anything. I sat with my plate pushed to the side for over 15 minutes waiting to possibly tell someone about my poutine but once they came, I did tell them and they just took my plate and brought me the bill(could have had another drink). NOT much of an atmosphere as you are just in the middle of the airport, as well as THE STAFF FOR SURE DOES NOT MAKE IT ANYTHING SPECIAL. Save your money and eat at one of the other many options in the airport if you must. Pretty sad to see as this is either the place for people catch connection flights or are coming and going from Edmonton . What a sour taste to leave with tourists that are spending money in your establishment/community. If I could give this place a 0 out of 5 starts I could! Sat at the wood and waited for over five minutes, watching the bartender and server have a nice long chat. When the bartender finally took my order, she pretended like she was listening to everything I asked for, but completely did not. I had to ask her to make the drink again the way I had asked for it originally. I never make these kind of complaints, but ALL the fruit at the bar is beyond dry and the beans they are using to put into Caesars are foul. I told the bartender this and she said thank you, I will get rid of those. I suggested she try one to make sure that I wasn’t wrong. She did not try one and in less than 10 minutes made another drink and used the same beans. Dish-ware that has been empty for over 10 minutes sitting next to me… there are only four people sitting at this bar, they are not at all busy with two servers on the floor. The good - the turkey club was a solid beast of a sandwich, buddy had the eggs benny which he had praise for, the hollendaise apparently left an impression.

The meh - no salad option with the club and the fries were as basic as you can get. For airport fare, the prices are as expected.

The bad - well, you do have the option to pay your bill using the QR code on the table but if you have a problem with the bill be prepared to wait for someone to come talk to you. There had to be at least 4 servers for maybe 10 tables and we waited easily 20 minutes to correct the bill so we could continue on our way.
