Wok Box - Edmonton Airport — Restaurant in Alberta

Worst place I’ve even been to don’t eat here! The food is disgusting and the guys are beyond rude. I ordered a butter chicken naan wrap and had to say it like the 3 times and the guy got frustrated and said I ordered the butter chicken meal. And my friend said I heard him say three times what he wanted. And I even pointed at what I wanted in case he didn’t understand English and he got more angry and rude. Also took long to take my payment I wish I just cancelled my order and walked away because they gave me lots of rice and a few pieces of chicken and it was gross. Please don’t ever eat here whatever you do, worst experience of my life I wish I reported this to the airport to someone in management. They shouldn’t be aloud to treat people this way. Especially in Canada maybe it’s okay wherever their from but here in Canada we practice decency and respect! Especially towards First Nations and the people of treaty 6. Our flight arrived on time so we planned to stop by somewhere to eat dinner at Premium Outlet Collection mall before heading home. But my kid was already complaining how hungry he was and can not wait until we get to the mall. Of course, we need to claim our checked in baggage then wait for our shuttle to park and ride. In short, we decided to eat to whichever is nearby and that happens to be this Wok Box. We ordered Vietnamese pho and Ginger Beef. There was a line up so we waited about ten minutes or longer. There were three of them at the time. One was taking orders and the other two were preparing the food orders. I thought this is pretty nice because we can see them preparing our food. I noticed that only one of them was washing her hands after touching anything aside from food. When we received our food, it look like it is yummy and fresh. But looks can be deceiving, the ginger beef does not have enough rice with it. The pho is bland even after putting salt and pepper in it and the noddles taste gross. We'd had a layover in Edmonton and I needed a small bite. The potstickers here would have hit the spot. At first the expdrience was good--placed my order, enjoyed watching their cook work his wok, appreciated how intelligently the workstation was designed.

My order got dropped in the deep fryer, and then things went downhill. The cook ducked into their rear room in the middle of the cooking, and while he was there the timer alarm went off--and kept going off for well over a minute. I had thought maybe I'd need to go pull them out myself when the cashier finally went over and finished them.

Didn't have time to complain, my wife needed her turn to go off and find some food before we boarded. So I ate what might have been really good potstickers--except they were cooked dry and far too brown. It was one of those cases where they should have apologized, started a new order for me, and comped it.

Maybe they'll figure out how to run a fast food...
