Never again! Was there with my husband. 1st time we came here last week was excellent, the lady/waitress and food were great! Tonight we had the waiter, he was horrible and rude! Ordered the prime rib, didn't come with gravy or horse radish, I waited a couple minutes, he never came over so I went to to the counter to ask fir it and git it, went back to the table, no salt & pepper, so I go back to the counter, this time, the waiter yells at me "you never asked for it when I was there!'! I said "Well, I shouldn't have had to ask for ANY of it AND not once have you come to check in since bringing the food" so I'm asking for it now. Finally take a couple bites of my prime rib, it's very rare 😔, so I put it aside, finally once my husband is done eating, waiter comes over and asks if I want a to go box, I said no still waiting to tell you my prime rib isn't cooked so I didn't eat any of it. Manager comes over and as we are chatting the waiter comes over yelling at me again so both myself and the manager ask him to leave. Super rude and unprofessional. Manager was great! He gave both our meals free.

We were looking to book a table last week to celebrate valentine day yesterday. So we called Chef David's Cacio Pepe Italian Bistro. Girl who answered the phone very professional and helped me understanding their special Valentine menu and helped me booking my reservation. Minute after that I received a text message confirming my reservation. We knew we had to drive 45 minutes to reach the restaurant but I knew it's worth driving to try Chef David's food. We had a warm welcome and seated immediately. Bartender to servers were very professional and friendly. Meals were amazing, presentation wow , very delicious. We were very full and had left over food to bring home. We were dying to meet Chef David, he came out and talked to almost every customer in the dinning area. Not only that Chef make sure we were ok to drive back home safely. We highly recommend this place to everyone who are looking for delicious food and great customer service. It's not too far to drive. Thank you Chef & Clare for Amazing food and service.

We had the opportunity to visit on a recent business trip to Alberta. The meal started off with a superb amuse bouche: pork belly bites with a hint of truffle. We were also served a very nice, warm focaccia bread with an olive oil/balsamic vinegar dip. Our table shared a very generous antipasti platter that featured a nice variety of cured meats, patĂȘ, cheeses and pickled veggies. That along with a varied side of breads was a delicious (and filling) starter. Our table ordered two different pastas for our mains. The special on the evening was rigatoni bolognese, and by all reports it was very good. We ordered the cacio e pepe, and were disappointed. While the pasta (linguine) was prepared to a reasonable al dente, the cheese was clumped, giving the dish an unappealing consistency. The cheese was also saltier than any pecorino romano we’ve tasted. Overall we were very pleased with the meal. While perhaps the cacio e pepe was a “miss” on that one occasion, we’d definitely order a different pasta should we return.

NEW REVIEW REDEMPTION WAS ACHIEVED

MAY 25, 2023. My son took me out for a belated Mother's Day Dinner. WOW what a wonderful experience!!! It was quite a busy evening as the restaurant was hosting a fairly big party. The size of the party had the restaurant at a higher volume, which we fully understood however, Clare, was very apologetic. Our sever, Sydney, was wonderful. She was very welcoming. Whenever she stopped by to check on us she had a smile on her face.

The food was so delicious. My husband ordered the Mussels. He commented many times how good they were and that he would order them again. My son ordered the Duo of Pork. He enjoyed it very much. I ordered the Veal and Spinach Cannelloni. I have never had any type of Cannelloni before tonight, it was so good. I would definitely order it again.

We only had one tiny hiccup- the dish my husband's mussels were served in was severely chipped. We casually mentioned it to Sydney. She quickly took the dish back to kitchen to and it was replaced. This happen very quickly.

As we were finishing our meal Sydney let us know that Chef David had graciously offered us a complimentary dessert due to the chipped dish. We were never expected that. Very appreciative.

We all enjoyed a Dessert of our choice; Orange Creme Brulee, Chocolate Lava Cake and Tiramisu

Thank you to Chef David, Clare and Sydney for making my Mother's Day meal one to remember.

Hard review to write as I agree with most of the reviews. Visited Oct 15 2021. Waited well over an hour to receive our meals. Server admitted she forgot to place our order with the kitchen. Was disappointed that there was no reimbursement offered at the end of the meal. We are not the customers who whine, argue or demand discounts however after the long wait and feeling like we really didn't matter it would have been appreciated to have a discount applied to the bill...

Hello I would love to share with you as a customer for your business and your location with my recent experience. Today was not what I expected from the experience as I read. Personally I would love chat with in person however you do not get to see what going on out front when you are in the kitchen. Your menu was amazing and I would love to taste it all, however knowing your location and the time of day make a huge difference to your customers. YOU probably can cook circles around me however keep it simple for the time of day. Know your customers keep menu simple top 10 for breakfast, brunch, dinner, was overwhelmed with items from steak and eggs to fettuccine Alfredo, to warmed olives smoked, plus wanting cheese antipastoand such, and so many other options. Keep the fine dining at night, so you can keep what you can control in the kitchen, staffing, etc as your order supplies for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Your staff out front were good however they are not a team to support you! I see some staff are confused and we waiting to payment via debit machine and took probably 10 min for the person to run the machine at our table. I'm thinking you have fine dining and love to experience that but your front staff picking up around 1 year old baby and holding from the washroom or kitchen IDK from some other table or could be family, there are things as my pov as an owner I would definitely help coach for your front staff, your front staff should be amazing as a team but I saw alot of confusion in the one's that did try to support another team member. Simple water and coffee was a problem. The restaurant industry is not easy but I want you to be successful in a small town for sure. I hope to chat with you in the future as I'm from another bigger city. ...

Just wow! In the little town of Olds who would have thought, such a culinary gem would exist? We were just leaving the area after doing some shopping when we noticed Chef David's Italian Bistro. We were able to make online reservations for that evening. When we showed up around 6, the place was already quite busy. First impression was good as we were met with a clean, and bright atmosphere, and quickly seated. Service was VERY prompt, and the menu was a-m-a-z-i-n-g!! A significant variety of food options both Italian and non-Italian, not to mention a pretty lengthy wine list. Lamb, Prime Rib, Pork Belly, Seafood, Pasta all on the menu. Sooo many incredibly-delicious-sounding options to choose from. Our party received a basket of complimentary fresh bread and a sampling of crunchy pork belly as an appetizer, absolutely delicious!! Our main dishes arrived: Prime rib, spaghetti and meatballs, and the Veal Cannelloni...and again wow they did NOT disappoint! The night wouldn't be complete without cleansing our palette's with some delectable Tiramisu and Chocolate Lava Cake. Honestly the owners and staff were incredibly fast, friendly, and accommodating. The food was absolutely incredible. Next time we're in the 'hood, or you're in the 'hood, Chef David's Cacio Italian Bistro is A MUST! Well done, and I assure you, we WILL...
