I have never left a restaurant wishing I never came in before. Iâve also never not left a tip before. I prefer to try the local restaurants instead of going to fast food⊠but this time I wish we went for fast food. It took over 50 minutes to receive our food, and yea it was busy and we are able to wait - but if Iâm waiting that long I am going to hope the food was good. Even our drinks took 15 minutes to come, and they all didnât come together. One of us had to wait another 7 minutes for theirs. My water? Didnât come for half an hour. Our daughters kids meals were decent and they were happy to eat the scrambled eggs and pancakes. The only reason I have given two stars was because of that. Their meals were edible. My husband got the ooey gooey grilled cheese and was disappointed. Even his fries werenât very good. I had the fish and chips, it wasnât fresh. It was definitely from your regular frozen food aisle. My husband ate my âsaladâ and said the olive was gross on it. I really only could eat the fries, I ended up spitting out the rubbery fish and stopped eating it. No one came to see how our meal was. We had one napkin for the whole table (with two young children). We couldnât get the attention of any of the staff to ask for more. The staff was literally running inside and trying to clear tables. I get they were busy, but it seemed so chaotic with the running. Disorganized. I read the reviews and I hope our visit was a one off - but I definitely will not be going out of my way to come back to this establishment.
Iâd recommend they have a true host. Someone who stands at the door and greets their guests. I had a view of the door and saw many people leave while we were waiting for our food. No one greeted them and after 10 mins. If they were more organized, I am sure they would have slowed down to see guests looking around wondering where their...
Read moreWhile visiting Drumheller, we stopped into this restaurant after the 2 others we had in mind were closed on a Friday afternoon. Though we were the only ones I'm the restaurant (which is usually a red flag), we sat down and tried to remain optimistic. Right away, the decor was confusing, with southeast Asian motif that didn't fit the western menu, but then we were soon met with the prominent odor of the east Indian food buffet along the opposite wall. By that point, we'd already ordered our food, so we were along for the ride. I ordered a Clubhouse on white bread, and my wife had the BLT on whole-wheat. We each had a side of fries. When the food arrived, the bread was switched, and the fries looked bathed in seasoning. Sure enough, at first taste, the fries were saturated in a curry blend of seasoning that rendered them inedible. The sandwiches were pretty stock diner fare, but the smell of the restaurant stayed with us long after we'd left. All in all, we personally did not enjoy it and...
Read moreFood was passable. Definitely not something to rave about. Seems a little disorganized overall. I get the impression this is an "under new management" affair and they are trying to do great things, but falling short of the mark; had fish and chips, had to ask about tartar sauce (which came in those little jam blister packs... was unimpressed by this. Getting rid of the blister packs and presenting the tartar in one of those stainless steel cups would raise the bar quite a bit). Service was surprisingly fast. We ordered pop, was told that their pop (disorganized) wasn't cold and asked if it would be okay to receive them in a glass with ice. Our fish taco order was a lot of salad. GF had to disassemble and reassemble them to balance out the fish/salad ratio. Service was great, very attentive to us. Overall, however, we were expecting a fair bit more from...
