Very poor experience, extremely slow services. This is not an authentic Vietnamese restaurant, its just a restaurant that serves vietnamese food that cooks by the philipinos. U can easily know its not authentic by the sign of the restaurant because they even miss spelled the name of the food they are serving as “Phỏ” instead of “Phở”. Serving is really slow for my own experience. The waitress kept asking us what we have ordered over again and again. we waited for the food for over 45 mins and still not get the foods. but there were other people that came after us got the food first. and until we asked we realized the severed forgot to serve it and even the cooker forgot to cook it??? The foods quality not even that good compared to how long we had waited and the price. the broth was salty and tasted like nothing. The toppings were really few and small. Since im not a picky eater and have been eaten at alot of vietnamese restaurants in both Canada and Vietnam this is my worst experience. the atmosphere here is really bad and hot and only half of the room has the lights turned on. chopsticks and spoons, fork were abit dirty and not washed properly. overall i DO NOT recommend to go to this restaurant if you want to try vietnamese food because they are destroying and making a really bad point of view for the vietnamese food and culture. will never go back here again P/s: to the restaurant if you are choosing to serve food that is from and represent a country and their culture. You should but your heart in it and learn how to do it properly. not just serving anything random then call it “vietnamese food” because the food you are serving is not even vietnamese at all. This is creating a really bad view for people who have never try a viet food before.

I am so extremely surprised this place is so highly rated. The facility appears to be generally in good repair. A bit dated but nothing stuck out as “ewww”. The food though... the most subpar pho I’ve ever had. Maybe Alberta just have no idea what proper pho should taste like. The broth was nearly flavourless, dotted by few meat balls (beef ball pho), and dried garlic bits. It was a very strange concoction. The side plate of spouts appears to be starting to grow roots with no basil. The additional condiments are limited. Staff seems attentive but they forgot our drinks. It was hard to mess up since you fill out your own order sheet. The food wasn’t altogether horrible. It’s totally consumable if you are hungry. But the whole experience was rather strange.

I made an order for pick up and my bill was higher than anticipated. because there was a price difference between their website and the store menu. the meal I ordered for pick up showed 16.95 and I was charged 19.90 for the one meal. That price difference would add up significantly if I had ordered for a family of 4. The food is okay but not worth 20 dollars for a single meal. They did not stand by the price on their web site menu for the bombyah. They did not tell me my total when I placed my order. So I had no way of knowing the price difference.

This was a pretty bad experience at this restaurant. We were in town for a wedding, and thought we would have lunch before the ceremony, and we probably should have gone somewhere else.

We arrived at 11:30, on Friday and the place was closed...we start looking for another place to go, but the owners show up in a few minutes and we decide to stay and eat there.

We ordered 2 of the House special noodle soup Large and the 2 of the Boombyah bowl and some additional spring rolls (one meat, and one veggie) - the total was $94 (before tip).

They bring out spring rolls, and they are TINY, literally the size of a middle finger - smallest i've ever seen at any vietnamese restaurants.

They bring out the noodle soup, and my first impressions was there that there was 1) No rare beef 2) the bowl and portions were tiny (the dish was $18/$19) and there was no beansprouts, basil leaves, hot peppers.

A few minutes pass, and i have to ask for these items. When it comes out, there was just a plate of beansprouts, with one lime for two bowls, i asked about basil, and peppers and they said that they didnt have any basil or peppers...ok..this is a staple of the noodles..

The Boombyah bowl was missing the shredded pork, and i ask the waitress where it was, and she told me that they didn't have any...it would have been nice to have known that these items weren't available, rather than me having to ask about the missing items.

They did say sorry, and brought 2 spring rolls (1 for each bowl) - but as said above -...

food was bland the sauces had no flavor I had the yaki udon which I have had more flavorful yaki udons from fast food restaurants in fort McMurray my wife ordered the pork with shrimp vermicelli noodle bowl and although the pork was amazing and very flavorful the sauce that came with her noodle bowl was basically water there was no taste to it at all the meal was virtually a large amount of flavorless noodles and veggies and there was no service at all they give you a card to fill out what you want but if you have any questions good luck getting an answer as the menu gives no information as to what's in each meal aside from very limited descriptions aka 5 words max and no description on the drinks it took us almost 20 mins to get a question answered before we could order our meal WOULD NOT RETURN and DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND going there to anyone you could get better tasting food from edo Japan at half the price was very disappointing after the recommendation from Bernie and the boys bistro and seeing the reviews for this place can't believe they even exist serving...
