WOW! Ordered my own personal go-to Indian dish… Butter Chicken and Petu Indian Curry & Kebab did not disappoint! It’s incredibly fresh and creamy with the flavours perfected over what would seem to be decades of family history! When ordering Indian, my family prefers mild flavours and sticks to Butter Chicken, Jeera (Cumin) Rice, Veggie Samosas with Red Sweet Tamarind Sauce, Samosa Chaat, garlic butter Naan. This restaurant makes me want to try other dishes!!! They were able to cater to our mild palate in 25 mins and served up amazing homemade flavourful Indian spice, without the strong heat. We wanted chicken kebabs and tried the Chicken Malai Tilkka. It is chunks of creamy, garlicky, expertly marinated tender chicken off the kebab, and drizzled with fresh lemon juice and served with pickled onions. The samosas taste homemade, with a flavourful lingering aftertaste. The chaat adds a chickpea, yogurt and cilantro/mint topping to two samosas which is to die for. If India had salsa on nachos, chaat on samosas would be it! (Even though it ends up tasting more like a slightly spicy pot-pie than any nachos and salsa.) They were so accommodating and assured me to try ANY chicken kebab, promising we would love it! I BELIEVE THEM!!! Paid $7 for delivery within 40 mins of the phone call. I bet their Biryani is great too! Will def...
Read moreWe arrived in Drumheller quite late on Monday, October 21st and walked in at around 8pm. We made sure to confirm it was okay for us to order, the staff member present (we unfortunately didn't catch her name) was so lovely and welcoming! She answered any questions I had. This place was absolutely amazing. They alter the spice level depending on your tolerance (I have barely any, while my fiancee is a spicy aficionado). We were both able to order incredible dishes that fit our spice levels (mine was "baby tongue spice" while my other half got Indian spicy). The food was by far the best Indian food we've ever had, and we've been to quite a few places around Canada.
Honestly, I'd come back to Drumheller just to go to this restaurant again. Thanks again to the lovely staff member who assisted us, you made our first night in...

From outside it looks fairly uninspiring and the inside decore feels like an half hearted effort to convert a restaurant with greek/roman themed decor into an Indian restaurant.
Having said that, this mid sized place did end up churning out fairly decent food. We tried two chicken gravies and dal and they were quite good. The naans were the highlight and they were outstanding, crispy yet tender.
Kiran, the young girl managing the service was prompt and efficient even though she was managing all the tables practically alone.
Overall it was a good and satisfactory...
