Wanted to start this by saying I’ve taken my family here a couple times and I’ve never had any complaints. The food is always been really good and the service has always been fairly quick for not being premade food. However I took my family there this weekend with some friends bragging about how much better the food would be here over a food truck. After paying for my food, I was told about 20 minutes and I was like that’s fair as I ordered about $100 worth of food while I was waiting for my food five other people Went up and asked for a refund wasn’t quite sure why But boy, did we find out an hour and a half later we finally got Our food honestly, the burgers were cold. The fries were kind of warm. The poutine we ordered didn’t even melt. We would’ve had better customer service at McDonald’s pretty sad to say considering it’s a small town restaurant definitely won’t be going back between the service and the food quality not worth the...

I have come here a lot over the years but the past few times have been so disappointing. They used to have the best mushroom burger I’ve ever tasted but now it tastes like canned mushrooms in gravy. I had the HP burger today and couldn’t believe how terrible it was. The condiments and vegetables were okay but the burger was only a 1/4 inch thick and had no taste. They used to have local beef but this is clearly something from a large cheap food supplier. They called me when my food was ready which is a good idea if it actually worked, however I had to stand at the window another 10 minutes after they called before I got my food. Then the onion rings were cold and they too looked like they came from a large food supplier. If you are going to cut costs on food quality this bad then you better make your prices reflect that. $15 for a pop and a burger and onion rings I could barely eat is extremely low value for my money. I won’t be...

We stopped by Hitchin Post for some burgers, fried mushrooms and milkshakes a couple weeks ago. We ordered and had to wait about 20 minutes for our food. The place was busy.

I should have ordered what my partner ordered (HP Burger), as my burger ended up being a little bland. I wish I ordered something with lettuce, tomatoes and bacon on it. I think I got a double cheeseburger, but I had rushed my order as it was so busy there. I should have looked at the menu better.

I didn’t find the deep fried mushrooms to be as amazing as I was told they were. They were hot, but nothing great about the flavour… basically they go squish in your mouth and are very juicy. Could have used a seasoning of some sort.

I found the way the menu was written it was hard to understand what you were getting. I feel like if I ordered something else, I may have enjoyed this place more. I will know for next time. The milkshakes were...

It's 5 stars if you have the patience to wait for your food. It taste cook to order, which is why it takes a while to get your food. However it worth it if you aren't in a hurry. Burgers taste hot and fresh off the grill. Great home made beef patty taste, unlike the process beef patty at Wendy's or McDonald's.

Love this place. I always get a cheese burger, 1/2 onion rings and a small vanilla shake. Their onion rings and shakes are the best I've had. Call ahead with your order and you can pick it up right when you arrive. Place gets really busy in the summer. Open in the spring and closes in the fall for winter.

45 minute + wait for what we were told is “fresh”. The burger looks and tastes like a frozen patty. Not worth the wait. Phone orders shouldn’t be allowed when there are 15+ people waiting for their orders in person. Not exactly sure how a barely dressed burger takes almost an hour.
