I was excited for my high tea experience at The Noble Tea House, but unfortunately, it was a a bit of a let down.
The Positives: The ambiance was lovely, offering a pleasant and inviting atmosphere with cute and whimsical decor. I also had a great experience booking my reservation with Jolene, who was incredibly helpful and accommodating, making the initial process delightful.
The Negatives: However, the food left much to be desired. The theme during my visit was Caribbean, and while the jerk chicken filling in the tortilla wrap was decent, the wrap itself was disappointingly hard and stale. The crostini with cheese and peaches and the artichoke sandwich were just okay, but again, the bread was stale. The shrimp in cucumber, though fresh-tasting, was awkward to eat.
Moving on to desserts, the scone was large, served with clotted cream and raspberry jam—tasty, but again, a bit stale. The mango tart and macaron also tasted less than fresh. The lemon pudding in a glass shooter, however, was a highlight of my day.
The tea and service were just okay. Overall, the experience felt underwhelming, especially for the price point of $60. I expected better quality food, particularly in terms of freshness. Unfortunately, it seemed like everything had been prepped in advance and left sitting out.
While I’m glad I got to experience The Noble Tea House, it’s not something I would recommend driving all the way from...
Read moreHad the most amazing morning here yesterday!
We were in high river as our dog had a much needed operation scheduled and so we were looking for somewhere to take our mind off things and came across The Noble Teahouse!
It's a gorgeous old victorian house decorated to perfection in a victorian setting. It was such a treat!
The owner happily let us in on extremely short notice and made a little space for us to seat as she'd explained they were very busy with reservations. She kindly made room for us especially based on our circumstances.
From start to finish the whole experience was beautiful. We couldn't of asked for anything better to put our minds at ease. It was as though we'd entered a different time period.
The food was just delightful. We had scones; tradional and sour cream, radish soup, monk tea (delicious) and jasmine green tea with pistachio macaroons!
We'd highly recommend The Noble Teahouse for a special occasion or simply just because...
Having emigrated from England just under a decade ago, I felt right at home here. There is also vegetarian options too, so, very accommodating!
Thank you Jolene for taking care of us on this emotional day and giving us a homely welcome into The Noble Teahouse ❤️
The best Teahouse I've been to in Canada. We will most...
Read moreThis is the BEST high tea I've ever had before. I've been lucky enough to have high tea at Kensington Palace in London and theirs pales in comparison to this place! I've went twice to this amazing teahouse and the second time was even better than the first as we tried their Winter menu and it was incredible. I plan on going back lots more. The drive from Calgary (the NW quadrant) is about 57 minutes, but it is absolutely worth it. The house is beautifully decorated inside and outside too. You're not only having high tea, but you're also getting an experience too being in a 1909 Victorian home as you can have tea on the main floor of the house or upstairs. Each room or area is exquisitely decorated.
The service is really great. You do need to make reservations - Jolene is quick to respond and very friendly. The high tea is decently priced at $45/person. They even have a kids high tea for $25. I wish I could have their plain scones with jam, clotted cream and tea every day. Their Earl Grey Cream tea is amazing. There's so much food to try that we've had to pack some to take home! I might have to order an extra large batch of scones when I go next time, so I can have one every day! Don't worry about the drive, it's scenic and peaceful and you won't...
