This location has an interesting setup. When you walk in, it’s an open concept area for the most part. There is a section to the right side where it is somewhat more private and there is a bigger table for a bigger group. (If I remember correctly) Plenty of tables, option for tables with a bench side and chairs are available also.

The ambience is great! We were greeted soon after we found a table and sat down. Our server was very friendly and upbeat. She had a great sense of humour!

Our server (I apologize I cannot remember her name) was very helpful with food options! My husband ordered the Cobb Salad, which he very much enjoyed with the blue cheese dressing. Our cousin ordered the Brisket sandwich, which was messy but tasty, and his wife ordered the Bacon Jam burger. It sounded tasty to me, I almost ordered it, but I went for the Chicken Apple Brie sandwich. I had it on a GF bun. Was it ever delicious! The apple still had a bit of a crisp to it, the Brie was perfectly warmed and kept its form until I had my first bite! The chicken was juicy and cooked all the way through. The jam was an interesting but delicious combination to the whole thing. The GF bun held up during the meal. It didn’t crumble or fall apart and held up until the very end. Very impressed! The Cajun fries were pretty good, the flavour was good. There was a lot of seasoning on certain fries which got a little overwhelming at times, but I was able to enjoy them with the gravy. I didn’t get to ask if the gravy was gluten free, and it didn’t hit me until after I started eating it, to find out whether it was or not. It was good and had good, kind of thick consistency and flavour.

We will definitely go back again to try other options on the menu! Oh, and almost forgot!! We tried the blueberry BBQ wings! They were actually better than expected. It seemed odd at first, but it actually turned out to be a good wing flavour! I’d definitely recommend trying it, if you enjoy...

So I'll preface with the fact I've known Adam for a free years now so when I went in I was also expecting to have a good time. Let me now state how absolutely amazing my experience was. not only did I walk in the door and get greeted with a nice welcome, but I also observed each and every customer that followed. the dedication of not only Adam and Reba, but the entire staff is easily the top bar staff from High river to Okotoks. That's just the initial impression and overview of the staff working.

Let's get to the food. simply Amazing. The Shack burger(I believe was the name, I had a couple tasty cold ones by the time I enjoyed its magnificence. the best way I can describe it, is that it taste like Home.

I went in there looking for a stout but wanted to make their life a little difficult. within 3 minutes I had three cans of some of the best beers I've ever had cracked and paid for.

overall I would rate it 9/10 and the only reason it's a 9 and not a 10 is because I couldn't in good conscience have a steak after that magnificent burger. WOW, was I surprised, BIG TIME!!! I walked in expecting a tiny pub atmosphere but was greeted with open arms and smiling faces. The food is incredible and is comparable to much higher priced restaurants in the city. The mushroom, truffle oil, gluten free dough pizza is a fantastic choice that rivals Uno Pizza. I can’t wait to experience their Wing Night, I’m told it’s incredible. Talk to the owner Adam about booking their rent free room for your functions that is separate room from the main bar.
